(Clearwisdom.net) On January 28 2004, Falun Gong practitioners filed a lawsuit in the Paris prosecutor's office against visiting Chinese Culture Minister Sun Jiazheng for "incitement of massacre and persecution."
The BBC reported that the Falun Gong practitioners said Sun was responsible for "crimes of torture" against the group, which is banned in China.
Sun is accompanying President Hu Jintao on a state visit to France.
The plaintiffs called for him to be detained before he leaves on Thursday, saying he was guilty of "incitement of massacre and persecution."
The BBC Report also said that the four practitioners, three women and a man, said they had suffered detention and torture in connection with their practice of Falun Gong. Three of the group are Chinese, and one of them - a woman - is French.
They said Mr. Sun had called through the media for the "elimination" of Falun Gong practitioners, and demanded that he be taken in for questioning.
According to a Clearwisdom Net report, in February 2002, Beijing Mayor Liu Qi was sued in a North California Federal Court before he boarded an airplane in San Francisco. Liu was sued for "cruel torture, torment, inhumanity, abuse, deprivation of freedom of belief and religion." San Francisco Judge Edward M. Chen presented a report to the court that showed Liu Qi was guilty of torturing Falun Gong practitioners. At present, Jiang Zemin (the instigator of the persecution against Falun Gong), Liu Qi (Mayor of Beijing City), top officials of the "610 Office"--a total of 15 people-- are accused of torturing Falun Gong practitioners, and their names are on the CRMP monitoring list. If any of them enters Canada, Canadian police will start an investigation of the crimes for which they are accused.
