Facts of the Persecution

In the Gaoyang Labor Camp of Baoding City, Hebei Province, police often drag Falun Dafa practitioners out of bed in the middle of the night and beat them up. They closely monitor steadfast practitioners 24 hours a day, illegally extend their terms, and cruelly torture them. Female Falun Dafa practitioner Li Wenping passed out from the severity of the torture she experienced. Another Falun Dafa practitioner, Ms. Han, had wounds all over her body, and became extremely thin. Ms. Liu Shuqin almost completely lost her eyesight because of the torture. Ms. Chen Hongping was tortured to death. Ms. Wang Yaping has been force-fed, which injured her stomach. Some of Ms. Nan Bingyu's teeth have been knocked out. She also suffers from occasional mental disorientation from the torture and cannot get up from her bed. There is a female Falun Dafa practitioner on the fourth floor who suffered a complete mental breakdown.

The following are some examples of what Falun Dafa practitioners in the Guizhou Provincial Women's Labor Camp are forced to endure:

1. Twenty-four-hour monitoring
2. Standing army style under the summer's scorching sun, or in the freezing winter from 3-5 a.m.
3. Body searches, in which all clothing is stripped off and practitioners are exposed outside to the cold winter weather or wet, rainy weather.
4. Being confined in a solitary compartment^* sitting on a small sharp-edged stool, sitting on a Tiger Bench,^** sitting on a sofa with no cushion, or being punched simultaneously on the chest or in the upper back by two bricks or fists, which usually results in internal injuries.
5. Forced to have an ice-cold water bath in the winter.

7. The injection of unknown drugs. Here are some cases of this:

Ms. Xu Xueying was beaten until her whole body was covered with bruises. She does not know what the vicious police inserted into her vagina, but she is experiencing abnormal discharge now. Her physical condition is deteriorating and she is near death.

Ms. Han Ming was slapped more than 20 times by police, and was tied up, and injected four times with unknown drugs, which caused muscle atrophy, and lead to her death on March 29, 2003.

Ms. Zhang Juying was on hunger strike, but she was force-fed to the point that her life was in danger.

Mr. Tan Zhengxing was beaten up by police while stuffed in a bag. His mother died when she heard about how her son was tortured.

Ms. Ma Xiangqun, age 60, Ms. Wang Tianyin, age 60, Ms. Li Juan, age 58, and Ms. Zhou Ying have all been tortured.

In August 2003, Falun Dafa practitioner, Ms. Lo Xiufang in Jinan City, Shandong Province passed out truth-clarifying flyers with a fellow practitioner, who was arrested on the spot. Later, she was abducted from her home by local police, and sent to the Liuchangshan Detention Center. After being detained for one month, she was sent to the Jiangshuiquan Labor Camp. Only 2-3 months later, at the beginning of December 2003, police sent her home secretly, after she had been tortured to the brink of death. She was left deformed by the torture; she was so emaciated it was as if only skin and bones were left, and she was covered with ringworm. Those two police officers said she was only pretending to be sick, and that they would come to get her in two months.

Falun Dafa practitioner, Mr. Yang Zhi from Wutai Town, Hancheng County, Henan Province was forced to become homeless and destitute in order to avoid being wrongfully arrested at home. He was abducted on December 24, 2003, by police from Luyi County and the Nanguan Substation Police, and detained in the Luyi County Detention Center. Yang Zhi has been on hunger strike for 12 days to protest such persecution, his life is in danger.

Falun Dafa practitioner and former employee of the Meihekou City Labor Camp, Mr. Zhao Furui was abducted because he went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong in July 2000. He was detained in the Beishan Detention Center in Chaoyang Town, Huinan County, Jilin Province. He was also fired from his job, and expelled from the Party. He was taken away again on May 31, 2003, while doing truth-clarifying work. He was beaten up until his body was covered with sores. He has been sentenced to the labor camp for three years, and sent to the Chaoyanggou Labor Camp in Changchun. He is very weak right now because police tortured him day and night.

My wife Zhang Guiying has been arrested eight times because of her peaceful appeals on behalf of Falun Dafa. Each time, she has been detained several days or one month. The last time, she was sentenced to one year in the labor camp. She had to become homeless and destitute in order to avoid being wrongfully arrested at home. Police often come to look for her. My daughter gave birth to her child, but her mother could not come home freely. My daughter misses her mother, and her mother misses our daughter, so she came home. Just as my family was finally able to be together, police ruined our happiness by arresting her again, and sending her to a detention center.

Neighborhood Administration Director Wang of Yangliu Village, Jinniu District, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, and "610 Office"^*** personnel Xie and Li together with police officer Li Qiyong put several Falun Dafa practitioners, who live at P.O. Box 102, under house-arrest for more than two years now.

News from China

Recently, Jiang has on repeated occasions specially placed his followers in the army, and strengthened his foreign affairs contacts. The public is talking. When Jiang was the Chairman, the crimes of his family's corruption, his selling a large portion of China's land, his suppressing democracy, his human rights violations, and especially his personally initiated persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners made him feel it was impossible to escape justice. In order to avoid all those trials of justice like all other dictators had to face, Jiang specially places his followers into positions of power, and hopes that someone will be around to guard him after he steps down, so that he can escape justice. But history will certainly bring justice. No matter how he struggles, he must face the retribution that is due.
