Note: This article was related to me by a woman from the countryside who is unable to write herself. She asked me to record this story to let the world know about how she and her father benefited from Falun Dafa. She hopes that people will come to understand that Falun Dafa is the righteous way, and that the chance to encounter Falun Dafa has come only once in millions of years. She also hopes that people do not believe the lies fabricated by Jiang's regime.
My father is 73 years old. Before practicing Falun Gong, he suffered from phlebitis and dropsy, and his legs were blackish because of illness. The dropsy had spread from his feet to above the knees. He had spent over 10,000 Yuan* in hospital treatments, but had no relief from the ailment. His illnesses grew worse, and his health deteriorated daily. He would lay on the bed for days at a time; the pain was very difficult for him to endure.
Eventually, my uncle asked us to bring my father to his house, where my aunt introduced him to Falun Dafa. Father watched Teacher's lectures on video. Amazingly, as soon as he started watching the video his leg stopped aching and he forgot that he was sick. Without noticing, he stood up. Father was very excited, and we were so moved that we did not know what to do.
Father joined the group practice at uncle's house. After studying the Fa for seven or eight weeks, he returned home with Zhuan Falun** and Teacher's lecture videos. The villagers were very surprised to see father so healthy, so they all came to learn Falun Gong. Father eventually started a local practice site.
Soon thereafter, though, Jiang began the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. But my family did not forget the healthy bodies and happiness that Dafa brought to us, so we remained steadfast in our belief and cultivation.
Father goes to work in the field before sunrise. After sunrise, he works at a temporary job. He also opened up many wastelands, planting them later with grains and peanuts. The villagers all say that although father is in his 70s, he is just like a strong and healthy young man. Although Jiang had fabricated tons of lies and slandered Falun Gong, the villagers all know how good Dafa is, for they can see an example right in front of them.
I don't know how to read, but I know that Dafa is good. People around me know it as well. Whenever I see in-laws having conflicts or fights in my neighborhood, I tell them the principles that Teacher taught me. They then tell me that Falun Gong is really good. When they are about to lose their temper or curse someone, they now remember the principles of Dafa that I told them about and calm down, and they would no longer feel like cursing.
Once, my brother-in-law and I drove a motorized tricycle carrying 21 sacks of peanuts from my mother's home. While climbing a hill, the tricycle suddenly turned over, and we fell onto the paved road. The passers-by thought that we would have been killed by the crash, but we were not hurt. I did not even have any dirt on me. My brother-in-law was surprised. I told him that it was all thanks to Teacher, who protected us. My brother-in-law said that we should be very grateful for what Teacher did for us. I said that our Teacher never asks anything from me but a kind heart.
On another occasion, I was riding on the back of a motorcycle driven by my husband. While climbing a steep hill, the motorcycle turned over. Again, nothing happened to us, and we were not afraid.
I can never run out of good things to say about the benefits that Teacher and Dafa give us. Such a great practice is being persecuted; even the Gods in heaven cannot tolerate it!
