Between ten and twenty members of the Falun Gong group have put forward charges at the state attorney's office, where they demand that Luo Gan -- the head of the legal system in China - is arrested and placed in detention in Iceland. The group has accused Luo Gan of violating international law and international agreements, and are accusing him of being guilty of genocide.
The group's attorney is Ragnar Adalsteinsson, a Supreme Court lawyer. He and one of the plaintiffs, Li Shao, a lecturer at the University of Nottingham in the U.K., introduced the charges to the media. Ragnar says that the charges are diverse. Falun Gong practitioners claim that the head of the legal system in China may be brought into custody before he leaves the country, and that his crimes should be investigated.
According to Li Shao the list of crimes is comprehensive. He told of how his sister-in-law was detained in a labour camp without trial and consequently tortured. Because of this, his mother-in-law passed away due to grief and worry.
Li Shao says that Luo Gan is one of the most evil people in the world today, and that he has sentenced 100,000 Falun Gong practitioners to labour camps without trial.
