L'Alsace: The Letter of Appeal against the Torture in China
The French town Mullhouse that publishes the newspaper L'Alsace reported about the persecution of Falun Gong in an article on the 22nd August. The article was titled "A Letter of Appeal against Torture in China". Details are as follows:
"Some Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa) Association Members from Sweden have exposed crimes committed against Falun Gong followers in China, at the town of Colmar in front of Unterlinden Museum yesterday. One member explained: "there have been over 2500 practitioners tortured to death." In line with a worldwide activity to disseminate information, this association recommended that people could write a letter of appeal to the Chinese government asking them to respect human rights. They also recommended materials introducing a practice, that can make people "mentally and physically well balanced"..."
Le Midi Libre: The Clock Square in Falun Gong's Time
The newspaper Le Midi Libre reported an article on the 8th August that described activities held by Falun Gong practitioners in the town of Avignon. The title of this report was "The Clock Square in Falun Gong's Time". Details are as follows:
"For the entire weekend, more that 10 people came to Clock Square in Avignon to practice Falun Gong. The reason was to let more people come to know Falun Gong. The government in Beijing has banned this meditation exercise because of the number of its followers in China (100 million). The activities were also to show support for the Falun Gong practitioners who are currently being persecuted and tortured in China."
