Facts of the Persecution

The Xinhua Forced Labor Camp in Sichuan Province used methods such as "reduction of term," "reformed practitioner quotas," etc. to coerce and lure criminals into torturing Dafa practitioners. The torture methods include: forced to sit in military style for long time; beaten up by a group of criminals; not allowed to sleep; frozen by ice or cold weather; pulling out facial hair, armpit hair or pubic hair; piercing fingernails with bamboo needles; putting practitioners into a brick oven to bake under high temperature, etc. There are still over 60 Dafa practitioners detained there.

Comment on a TV Mini-Series Produced by the Chinese Ministry of Justice

To water down the panic about SARS, the Xinhua News Agency promoted the TV play series: "Life Has No Sins," which was produced to defame Falun Gong. Hu Junze, the deputy Minister of Justice, said this TV series, whose scripts have been "modified several times," is "evidence" that Falun Gong should be banned. This is open perjury by the Ministry of Justice.

During the past four years, the government-controlled Chinese media never stopped slandering Falun Gong with lies, which have misled many people. Having no way to back down, they had to produce more and more lies. This TV series showed police officers being "very kind" to Falun Gong practitioners. Talking about the "kindness" of police officers, we can figure it out from the death of the 29-year-old university graduate Sun Zhigang who was beaten to death by police officers at a temporary detention center in Guangzhou. Sun Zhigang is not a Falun Gong practitioner, and was beaten to death by police officers, though not in a jail. One could imagine what pains Falun Gong practitioners would suffer inside the jails and the forced labor camps. Jesus Christ once said, "Human beings have sins." So people should be humble, honest, and kind to others in order to repay the sins. Buddhism believes that there is retribution for sin. A person should be kind one's whole life to purify one's mind. The title itself of this TV series: "Life Has No Sins," is an open betrayal of God's will.

In the morning on May 27, 2003, I was abducted by 7 to 8 police officers to the Brainwashing Center, organized by the "610 Office" [a bureau specifically created by the Chinese government to persecute Falun Gong. It has absolute power over each level of administration in the Party, as well as over the political and judiciary branches]. There I met six other Dafa practitioners who had also been abducted. On the first day, we started a hunger strike to protest, and I also did Dafa exercises. Wicked police officers handcuffed me to a steel bed and did not allow me to sleep, and forced me to stand up 24 hours a day. They also force-fed me. Four cold-hearted police officers stood on my four limbs. They gagged my mouth with toilet paper, then quickly inserted a plastic tube into my nose. Since I resisted with all of my strength, they failed again and again, but they repeated again and again. After over 40 minutes, they still could not succeed and had to give up. On the morning of the 11^th day, I suffered serious stomach pain. Medical examination found that I had acute gastritis so the police had to take me home with their vehicle. During the 10-day period in the brainwashing center, I kept on reciting Teacher's Fa-rectification formula to rectify my thoughts and to reinforce my righteous mind. I truly felt the power of Dafa and the righteous thoughts.
