The following is an excerpt from the article "Understandings on Clarifying the Truth by Writing Letters."

Mail is an environment and means created by Dafa for clarifying the truth. Practitioners in our area have written many letters to our friends and family, government officials, teachers and to regions where information is severely blocked. During the whole process, if we study the Fa well and keep righteous thoughts in our minds, we do better and progress as one body. One fellow practitioner was sent to labor camp by a local police station. Within several days, this local police station received 70-80 letters, and they often received phone calls from overseas or inside the country. Under the pressure of justice, the director of this local police station had to bring in that practitioner's family members and tell them to remove him from the labor camp.

The following is an excerpt from the article "Further Negate the Old Forces' Arrangement."

Some fellow practitioners who did very well before do not want to do much now, and said wherever their cultivation has reached will be fine. If they are arrested when going out, cannot bear the torture, and fall, they will be even lower than they are now. This mentality is fear plus laziness, and it has been exploited by the old forces. Isn't it conforming to the old forces' arrangements unknowingly? Cultivation is like rowing a boat against the current, if you do not go forward, you will go backward. If you conform to the old forces' arrangements, how can you keep your fruit status without falling? My fellow practitioners, please treasure this precious opportunity that does not come around in a billion years! Hasn't everything we have endured in lifetime after lifetime of hardships been culminating to this day, when we are saving sentient beings and returning to our true homes? Master has endured for us the real hardship that we could not bear ourselves, all that we have endured is just a tiny bit on the surface. The path for a human to become a god will not be very easy. Please diligently advance! Dear fellow practitioners, please study the Fa more, send forth righteous thoughts more, read Clearwisdom.net more, and contact fellow practitioners more, so that you will definitely do better. Let us remember what Master said, "To reduce the losses, and to save sentient beings, put your Dafa disciples' powerful righteous thoughts to full use! Show your Mighty Virtue!" ("Righteous Thoughts").

Righteous Thoughts and Righteous Actions

The following is an excerpt from the article "Cancer Disappeared after Learning Dafa, Not Moved When Being Persecuted."

I used to be a patient with advanced carcinoma of the rectum. I learned Falun Dafa when I was on the brink of death, and since then both my mind and body have stayed healthy, and my practicing has caused my whole family to practice Dafa. After the evil persecuted Falun Dafa, the neighborhood administrators senselessly mistreated us. My two daughters went to Beijing to appeal twice for Dafa. For the past two years, my oldest daughter has been illegally held in a labor camp. My youngest daughter miraculously broke free from handcuffs during her third time being arrested, and has since then become destitute and homeless in order to avoid being illegally taken from her home again. The vicious police in our local police station tried twice to break down our door like criminals. Once they waited by our door for three days and two nights. My wife and I kept sending forth righteous thoughts, and never opened the door for them. I opened the window, exposed their evil deeds, and shocked them a great deal. We had no other choice but to leave home in fear of being illegally taken, and now we live a life away from our own home. All people with a sense of justice in the world, please send Jiang to trial as soon as possible.

The following is an excerpt from article "Firmly Hold Righteous Thoughts, Unmoved By the '610 Office's' Threatening, Forcing, or Tempting."

The "610 Office"* and police from the labor camp usually jointly hold brainwashing sessions. Usually, they abduct people suddenly; put them under 24-hour close monitoring; cut off any contact to the outside world; have evil collaborators** take turns attacking them, telling them stories about someone who kept his faith, and how his spouse was fired from her job, his child was prohibited from attending school, his parents were very miserable, and thus threatening them by involving their family members into the persecution; they try to make practitioners accuse other Dafa practitioners, saying to them, "If you do not accuse others, others will accuse you, and then you will be sentenced to even longer terms, thus trying to shake them by the pain of losing personal freedom; they tell practitioners someone was sentenced for posting just one flyer, or visiting a Dafa website just once, or having one Dafa book in his home, or for telling others that "he became healthy after cultivating Falun Gong," thus threatening practitioners with cruel persecution; they make practitioners hold a booklet, and force them to talk or write according to what is in the booklet, over and over again, in broad daylight and in the dark night, thus forcing their minds to almost collapse; and finally, they order practitioners to say some things against their will while video taping it, thus torturing their hearts and ruining their integrity. All the evil deeds are too numerous to mention. They use all kinds of means to persecute Falun Dafa practitioners, in order to destroy our determination. We should always keep righteous thoughts, so that the evil has no loophole it can exploit.

News from China

The State Security Department Head Han Dongyi from the Fangzheng Forestry Region (also called the Gaoleng Region), Heilongjiang Province Police Station has been torturing and persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners ever since July, 1999. He not only abuses Dafa practitioners, but has also illegally detained more than 100 Falun Dafa practitioners, extorted Dafa practitioners' personal belongings and money, illegally searched their homes, and fabricated lies to harm Dafa practitioners.

Evil police officer Shi Yongliang in Anqing Substation of Jincheng Station, Luyuan District, Changchun City, Jilin Province extorted money from Falun Dafa practitioners and their family members, beat Dafa practitioners, insulted female Dafa practitioners. Many Falun Dafa practitioners have been beaten by him, and sent to the hospital, but Shi Yongliang refuses to pay for their medical expenses, and he has extorted money from Dafa practitioners' family members. In the recent incident where Falun Dafa practitioner Kong Fanrong from Shulan County, Jilin Province died of torture in Luyuan District, Changchun City, Jilin Province, Shi Yongliang was the main culprit.

* "610 Office" is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.

**Collaborators are former Falun Dafa practitioners who turn against Falun Dafa due to high pressure from brainwashing and torture.
