Facts of the Persecution

Approximately 50 Dafa practitioners are currently being detained in the Xinhua Forced Labor Camp. Another 70 to 80 people who gave up cultivation under the intense pressure are also detained there. Recently, the guards greatly intensified the persecution through brainwashing. They force the practitioners to perform hard labor for 17 hours per day and order drug addicts to torture the practitioners. Some practitioners have lost consciousness numerous times from brutal torture. Practitioner Li Xing was tortured to death on September 4, 2002.Guards shocked practitioner Wang Renwei's anus and private parts with electric batons for about 30 minutes.

The thugs in the Xinglongshan Brainwashing Center in Changchun City are extremely vicious. They force-feed practitioners who were on hunger strikes to protest the persecution. They also extorted 1,000 Yuan from each practitioner. The lawless guards even persecute family members of the practitioners. They compelled the family members to hand-copy the "five statements" and write Dafa practitioners' names on them. Then the guards force the practitioners to fingerprint the statements. The brainwashing center broadcasts deceitful propaganda everyday, and the guards try to wear down the Dafa practitioners' willpower.

Beginning from early 2003, the authorities in Neijiang City, Sichuan Province held an "Advocating Science School" in the Coal Technical College of Neijiang City. They transferred determined Dafa practitioners from labor camps and detention centers to the "school" to be brainwashed. Right now, more than 30 practitioners are being held there. Everyday, the practitioners are forced to attend classes and write down their "understandings" afterwards. It was reported that another more than 60 practitioners are to be sent to the school.

On March 22, Dafa practitioners in Australia attended a Spring Health Exhibit in Cardiff, bringing display boards, posters, and videos. I walked into the street outside the conference hall and distributed Dafa flyers to passersby. We eventually ran out of flyers and had to get more. Fellow practitioners began playing the musical piece Pu Du, and even more people approached us to get a flyer.

At dusk, I was walking alone and suddenly hit by a speeding car. When the driver found out that I was a Falun Dafa practitioner and I didn't want to extort some money from him, he happily accepted a truth clarification booklet from me and said, "I feel so fortunate despite this accident! Thank you! I will make sure to let more people learn about the truth and tell this story to everyone."
