[Fuxin City, Liaoning Province] Three Falun Dafa Practitioners Illegally Arrested
On April 12, Falun Dafa practitioners Kong Xiangjian, Xu Zhisheng and Ms. Li Yuxia were illegally arrested. They are currently being held at the Fuxin Detention Center.
[Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Falun Dafa Material Production Site Destroyed
On the afternoon of April 18, 2003, Chen Wanyou and others from Jiamusi City sent a large number of policemen to force open a rent residence, and they detained Falun Dafa practitioner Xu Chenghua. In the room there was a computer, a laser printer, two color ink jet printers, one CD burner, more than four thousand blank CDs, two laminating machines, one business card printing machine, and about 1,500 yuan [500 yuan is the average monthly income for an urban worker in China] in cash.
We hope that practitioners in other parts of China will learn a lesson from this and do not put too much equipment in one place, and increase their vigilance to minimize losses from interference and sabotage. Let us send forth righteous thoughts together to aid Xu Chenghua in escaping from the persecution and returning to the current of Fa-rectification.
[Heilongjiang Province] Provincial Women's Prison Persecutes Falun Dafa Practitioners
Beginning on February 9, the Heilongjiang Provincial Women's Prison started to enact new policies. In the past when family members of practitioners came to visit those who were held in the jail, they were allowed to register in the reception room and to send in a change of clothes, but now they have to register with the guards and can only come inside the reception room during approved visits. In the winter the family members can only stand outside suffering from the cold. What's more, the family members are not allowed to send in a change of clothes. There are no human rights at all. Those Dafa practitioners who boycott forced labor have been held in solitary cells and the money their family members deposit for them to use can only be used to buy toilet paper. They are not allowed to buy other things and are deprived of their right to have family members visit them. There are people from the "610 Office" [a bureau specifically created by the Chinese government to persecute Falun Gong. It has absolute power over each level of administration in the Party, as well as over the political and judiciary branches] in jail as well. They do everything they can to try to brainwash newly arrived Falun Dafa practitioners.
