[Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioner Yu Yongquan was tortured to death at Daqing Prison And Practitioner Liu Shufen Is Illegally Sentenced to 11 Years By Ranghulu District Court
Liu Shufen, female, 30 years old, was arrested in mid May 2002 at a Dafa material production site. Two other practitioners including Yu Yongquan were arrested along with her. Yu was tortured to death at Daqing Prison on March 8, 2003. In mid September 2002, Ranghulu District Court illegally sentenced Liu Shufen to 11 Years at the Harbin Women's Prison.
[Zhenzhou, Henan Province] The Police in Shibalihe Female Labor Camp Cruelly Torture Falun Dafa Practitioner Yi Wangban
Yi Wangban, female, is being illegally detained at Shibalihe Female Labor Camp. Because she did not cooperate with them, the police tortured her and forced her to do the morning drill. She was so weak that she lost consciousness and fell down on the snowy ground. The guard carried her to the call room and woke her up. They told her, "Stop faking it. Do you think you are scaring us? We don't care what happens to you." Upon waking up, her body was soft and weak. However, the police again forced her to do the drill and heavy labor. At this camp, the police order non-practitioner inmates to monitor firm practitioners and to beat them. They are not allowed to read Dafa books or do the exercises. Those inmates who monitor practitioners receive five days off their sentences for each month that practitioners do not have any personal freedom.
[Kaiyuan County, Liaoning Province] The Procurator Illegally Charges Falun Dafa Practitioner Liu Qingchun
In March 2003, the Kaiyuan County Procurator pressed charges against Liu Qingchun of Qingyuan County. January 13, 2003, practitioners Liu Qingchun and Wang Yaping were arrested for delivering Dafa materials to Dasanjiazi Village at Lijiatai in Kaiyuan County. Liu's family was not allowed to contact him or send him any clothing. He left his wife Mao Xiumei, who was fired from Xiajiabao Middle School in Qingyuan County for practicing Falun Gong, and a 13-year-old daughter at home. The family now has no income.

[Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] The Police Kidnap Falun Dafa Practitioner Kao
The police arrested Kao of Xiangfang District in March. The details of the incident are currently under investigation.
[Maoming City, Guangdong Province] The Police Arrest Falun Dafa Practitioners Li Xiaoming and Mai Wei of Dianbai County
On the evening of March 2, 2003, the police arrested Li Xiaoming from his dormitory and confiscated all his Dafa materials. They locked Xiaoming in a toilet room at Maoming Law Enforcement School and ordered some criminals to brutally beat him. He suffered severe injuries. They then sent him to a detention center where the inmates also tortured him. However, his heart was not moved.
On March 25, 2003, Mai Wei was betrayed and arrested at home. The police also confiscated Dafa materials and a bank deposit of 4000 Yuan [Chinese currency, the monthly salary for an average Chinese urban worker is about 500 Yuan]. He left children at home the oldest of which is in the 5th grade. Mai Wei has also been standing firm in prison.

[Fushun City, Liaoning Province] The Police Arrest Falun Dafa Practitioners Zhou Wenbin and Qiao Kefu
On March 27, 2003 the police illegally detained Zhou Wenbin of Wanghua District. On April 3, 2003, practitioner Qiao Kefu was sent to a brainwashing center.
[Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Li Yuelan Has Been Illegally Detained Numerous Times
On December 20, 2002, the police from Chengxin Police Station at Rang District arrested five practitioners including Li Yuelan for holding a group study of Falun Gong. They released the other four practitioners in February 2002 but are still detaining Li Yuelan. According to Li's family, the police are sending 15 practitioners including Li to Harbin Drug Abstention Labor Camp.
[Suining County, Jiangsu Province] The "610" Office Plans to Hold a Large-scale Brainwashing Session
The evil people in the "610" Office [a bureau specifically created by the Chinese government to persecute Falun Gong. It has absolute power over each level of administration in the Party, as well as over the political and judiciary branches] plans to hold a large-scale brainwashing session at Sutang Brainwashing Center at Suining County. To the public, they claim it as a law enforcement school. They kept this activity extremely secret this time and tried to block all information pertaining to it. They have detained over one hundred practitioners there from the mid northern area and have even kidnapped some from Nanjing.
Suining "610" Office is notorious for its persecution of practitioners in the Suining and Xuzhou areas. The authorities at the provincial "610" Office plan to hold a large-scale brainwashing session at Sutang Brainwashing Center and this is just the beginning.
[Benxi City, Liaoning Province] The Police Arrest Falun Dafa Practitioners
The police illegally arrested practitioners including Gao Xiaofeng and Xin Wen and have been holding them at Dabailou Detention Center in Caibei for two weeks.
In March, the police destroyed a Dafa material printing site at Liutang in Xihu district. The police from Mingshan District illegally arrested practitioners Yu, the old couple Feng and their daughter Yu Lixin. Yu Lixin is now on probation for medical treatment because of ailments resulting from the persecution. The other practitioners are still in detention.

On March 22, 2003, the police arrested Yin Hongxi while he was working at Beiguan and are currently holding him at Yanling County Detention Center.

On February 25, 2003, lightning struck Xishui County Police Department. The police were scared into turmoil. The computer network was severely damaged and became paralyzed. People were saying, "The heavens indeed has eyes. The evil receives retribution."

"My name is Yangyang. I am 11 years old and from Liaoning. After I attained the Fa in 1997, I became healthy and my family was living a happy life. In November 1999, my parents went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong and were arrested. They were detained at Lingyuan Detention Center. I was only 9 years old at that time and could not take care of my own day-to-day needs. My family was broken up, and when I most needed their comfort there was nowhere to turn,. I could not go to school and suffered great pains in my heart. Our family has lost its freedom and previous closeness.
