(Clearwisdom.net) On the afternoon of April 14, 2003, Falun Gong practitioners' attorney, Ms. Terri Marsh delivered to the district court of the North District in Illinois documents citing evidence of crimes committed by Jiang and the 610 Office as well as those for the legal procedure of the lawsuit. Practitioners from France and other countries and areas carried out activities to support US practitioners in bringing Jiang to trial.
According to Central News Agency's report from Paris on April 15, Falun Gong practitioners in France held group practice on April 14 in front of the Chinese Consulate in France to support the US Falun Gong practitioners' attorney to charge in a US district court in Illinois the former President of China, Jiang with genocide for his long period of brutal persecution against Falun Gong practitioners.
More than 40 practitioners from France participated in the group exercises yesterday. They sat on the street corner in front of the Chinese Consulate with their legs crossed. Accompanied by the music, they performed Falun Gong exercises and sitting meditation. At the same time, they distributed flyers illustrating their spiritual practice in accordance with principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance as well as the Chinese authorities' persecution they encountered.
Spokesperson of the French Falun Dafa Association, Mr. Zhang Jianping stated that the Chinese Party suppresses Falun Gong and forbids Chinese people from practicing it. The authorities severely punish those who do not follow the ban. At least six hundred and fifty Falun Gong practitioners were tortured to death. Hundreds of thousands of Falun Gong practitioners were imprisoned in forced labor camp. Zhang Jianping continued that the plaintiffs' American attorney has collected sufficient evidence to show how Jiang set up the 610 Office to systematically persecute Falun Gong practitioners. This activity of supporting the lawsuit against Jiang was joined by practitioners throughout the world in a global appeal.
