Why are our rescue efforts going this way?
Recently the popular topic among practitioners seems to be: At first we launched rescue efforts to help release our persecuted relatives in China; then we switched our efforts to rescue the overseas practitioners being detained in China; then we focused our rescue efforts on the American citizen who has been illegally sentenced in China. If had we really done well and righteously with our truth-clarification, would our rescue efforts have to be going this way? And how should we view this phenomenon?
A practitioner from Belgium said, "This is because there are not enough practitioners who really regard these issues as their own concern."
A practitioner from Ohawa commented, "In fact this is the last crazy performance of the old forces, using immoral means, regardless of any result."
A German practitioner thought, "In Explaining the Fa During the 2003 Lantern Festival at the U.S. West Fa Conference, Master described, 'But as soon as the music started--"Whoosh!" Everybody stood together and gathered into such a formation more orderly than a military one.' But when doing something or rescuing someone, our whole body could not reach such a genuine state of cooperation and coordination. There are only a few practitioners handling the tasks."
One practitioner from Sweden expressed, "It means that there are loopholes in our whole body which the old forces wish to take advantage of. However, even if we do not care about the final results, we will think of these events as opportunities to clarify the truth to our own governments and media, to expose the deceitful lies of the Chinese government. Without clarifying the truth about these events, how could the politicians and media know that the evildoing in China is so rampant it cannot be tolerated?"
As far as I am concerned, all of their opinions make sense. My personal understanding is that one of Master's poems already gives us the best hint.
Cleaning Out
The dark clouds have passed
yet the winds remain fierce
And though the Red Dragon is slain
humans are sill in delusion
For where there is Evil
there is dark, dense haze
Dafa disciples
hold the palm erect
eliminate the remaining Evil
summon righteous thoughts
clarify the truth
rescue the sentient beings
thoroughly annihilate the Evil
and sweep the entire cosmos clean

Why do practitioners feel drowsy when reading the Fa?
One Taiwanese practitioner said, "Why does one feel drowsy when reading the Fa? It is due to a weak main consciousness. Many practitioners have this problem more or less. Yes, I also have this problem, and it seems to be irresistible fatigue that keeps us too occupied to read the Fa or makes us too sleepy to read one word. Master has repeatedly emphasized the importance of reading the Fa. No matter how busy we are, we cannot ignore reading the Fa. In the Lecture at the Assistants' Fa Conference in Changchun Master said, 'Didn't I make it very clear? Sleepiness is a god. If you can break through it, it can not have you under its control' (Unofficial Translation).
In Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Boston Master talked about the importance of reading the Fa. 'When you do well in the Fa-rectification, I can see that it's always because you are able to understand the Fa from the Fa; and when you do somewhat poorly, I can see that it's because you aren't making a priority of Fa-study and you aren't able to understand the Fa from the Fa. As a Dafa disciple, no matter what the situation or what the circumstances, you have to study the Fa, and you can't neglect your own assimilation and improvement; you can't forget to study the Fa. If you don't study the Fa well, you won't be able to do Dafa work well. And when you run into conflicts or problems that need to be resolved, you won't be able to balance things and you'll have arguments.'"
Forming an indestructible whole body and elevate as a whole
One practitioner said, "Why is it that a couple is able to become reconciled a few days after an argument? It is because they are one family. No matter how heated their arguments are, they are one family, that is, one whole body. The husband and wife know each other's hearts. Then why do we feel that we can get along well with only some practitioners instead of all practitioners? Why can't our whole body reach a genuine harmony? One reason is that we do not have enough communication with one another. Another reason is that we always judge other practitioners with our own viewpoint. One day when exchanging cultivation experiences with other practitioners, I found that I was not paying attention to the speaker. Instead, in my mind appeared the former image of that person, and I was using his former image to interpret his words now. Immediately I came to realize that this was an attachment that kept Dafa practitioners in isolation and prevented us from mutual trust. Thus I stopped myself from thinking, 'He still remains that way, not advancing himself in his cultivation.' I sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the attachment, leaving no loophole for it to exploit. I refused to follow the same thinking pattern and thus changed my thinking pattern. Then I found my mind became broad enough to accept all of the practitioners as well as their valid opinions."
In this way, we can become tolerant and harmonious; at least we will not be as rigid as we used to be.
