I used to be a lay Buddhist. Fortunately, I obtained the Fa in spring of 1998. I am a seamstress, and when the persecution began on July 20, 1999, I clarified the truth to my clients, apprentices, and people I met in the street. Once, a client overpaid me and I rode my bike to give him his money back. I took the opportunity to clarify the truth to him. Another time, riding my bike, I put truth clarification flyers and VCDs in a large document bag and delivered them to schools. I ran into some students on their way to school and I asked them take the bag to school. I also asked my child to take the last VCD to his teacher, who played it in the teachers' lounge. One of the teachers asked repeatedly where the VCD came from but no one told. My child came home after school and said to me, "Mom, I successfully completed my assignment." People who heard the truth from me never opposed Dafa. Some said, "Please don't worry, I won't say anything bad about Falun Gong." Some said, "Thank you, I will make sure my family knows about this and that they don't carry a misunderstanding about Falun Gong."

Truth About the Persecution

Dafa practitioner Bu Zhanmeng in Handan City, Hebei Province was illegally sentenced to two years of forced labor after he was arrested for appealing in Beijing on October 1, 2000. He was brutally tortured. The severe beating ruptured his eardrums, and his mouth, lower back and chest were severely injured from beating. On October 25, 2001, not until he was on the verge of death was he bailed out for medical treatment. One year later, in September 2002, he was again arrested and detained in Handan City Labor Camp.

Dafa practitioners Wang Xuezhen and Liu Ling were kidnapped for the second time on November 2, 2002 and are still detained at Handan City No. 1 Detention Center.

The persecution against a young teacher: after Jiang's political gang began the persecution in 1999, I encountered great interference and persecution, both in my daily life and at work. In November 2000, I went to Beijing to appeal and the vicious police arrested me in Tiananmen Square. During the interrogation, the officers forced me to sit on a chair against the wall for a long time, as he violently kicked my chest with army boots, slapped my face and stomped on my toes. I was later sent to a detention center, where I was not allowed to sleep for a long time and brutally force-fed. After I returned home, I was illegally arrested and sent to a city detention center.

In early June of 2001, police officers kidnapped Lin Tianci, an employee from the National Audit Bureau's Liaison Office in Guangzhou City. The officers came from the Tangxia Police Station in Tianhe District, Guangzhou City. They sent him to the Sanshui Brainwashing Center of Guangdong Province. Under great pressure from the evil, he wrote the "three statements" [in which one is forced to renounce Dafa, promises not to go to Beijing to appeal and divulge the names of other practitioners and their whereabouts] against his will and was thus released in late September 2001. After his release he realized his mistake and published a solemn announcement. In late November 2001, he was again kidnapped and sent to the Sanshui Brainwashing Center to be persecuted. He was illegally sentenced to two years of forced labor and sent to Guangzhou City No. 1 Labor Camp.
