The Chinese government and Jiang's regime arrested Charles Li and charged him with the crime of sabotaging Chinese TV programs. They are trying to deliver the following message to the world: "We are not arresting him without reason. He has violated the law. Even American citizens need to obey Chinese law." They intend to use this as an excuse to prevent the U.S. government from rescuing Charles Li.
No matter how ordinary people think of this matter, as Dafa disciples, we should look at it from the standpoint of the Fa. I present here my understanding of the matter.
The evil arrested Charles Li because he is a Falun Gong practitioner. This incident is obviously a part of the whole persecution scheme and directly targets Dafa. "The next person's things are your things, and your things are his things." ("Teaching the Fa at the Washington, D.C. Fa Conference") Therefore, it is our responsibility to completely deny the old forces' arrangements. Regardless of whether it is said that Charles Li may nor may not have participated in the interception of the TV signals, is it right for the evil to arrest him? Is it right that we feel we can't justify our efforts to rescue him? Is it right that we think in our hearts that he has done the right thing, but we still feel hesitant to urge the government officials to rescue him?
As a matter of fact, Jiang's regime hasn't been able to provide any solid evidence to justify their charges against Charles Li. They arrested him first before they went all out and trumped up some evidence, which in itself violates the law. No matter whether he is said to have participated or not in the activity of tapping into Chinese TV programs, there is no justification for the evil to arrest him. I'd like to review what Teacher said in "Look at Things with Righteous Thoughts":
"Right now, the Dafa disciples of Mainland China using television to let people know the truth is exposing the evil's persecution, is saving the sentient beings whose minds have been poisoned by the evil's deceit, and is a magnificent act of mercy.
"The group of evil political scoundrels has never followed the law in dealing with Dafa disciples, so don't disapprove again of the actions Dafa disciples are taking as they clarify the truth, due to your attachment of fear."
Then is it right thinking that interception of TV programs violates the law and those practitioners who tapped into TV programs should not receive any support? Can we agree with the heavy sentences the evil forced upon those practitioners who intercepted TV programs in Changchun and other areas in China? We should realize that the persecution of Dafa and Dafa disciples by the evil is fundamentally wrong. Given this prerequisite, whatever the evil does, no matter how sound and law-abiding, it is totally wrong and vicious. The evil will for sure be put on trial by history.
Only when our Dafa disciples reach an agreement on how to deal with the arrest of Charles Li from the perspective of the Fa can the public take a righteous stand. Only when practitioners go all out to rescue Charles Li can the public echo our efforts.
