Facts of the Persecution

[Wuchang City, Heilongjiang Province] Li Guobing is a former employee of the Wuchang Electricity Meter factory. His wife Sun Shuhua is a veteran patient and cannot take care of herself. In May 1999, Sun started practicing Falun Gong and, in a month, all her diseases were gone. After July 20, 1999, Jiang Zemin's regime began the brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. Sun was arrested three times for her determination to practice Falun Gong. She was eventually sentenced to three years and detained at the Wanjia Forced Labor Camp in Harbin City. On May 15, 2003, Li Guobing died at the Wuchang City hospital. He didn't even have a chance to see his wife for the last time.

[Longan County, Jilin Province] Ma Guosen and his family live in Gaojiadian Township. Recently, Li Xun, the township communist party secretary and local police officers, sent his wife, Zhang Fengyun to a forced labor camp. Ma was forced to leave home to avoid the persecution. Their 80 year old parents and 8 year old child were left home alone. On January 31, 2002, Lu Dapeng and other officers from the Gaojiadian Police station broke in to the homes of Dafa practitioners Cui Xiuyun, Liu Guiyun, and Feng Xiuying stealing items worth 500 yuan [500 yuan is the average monthly income for an urban worker in China.] Later the three Dafa practitioners were sent to the Longan County Detention Center. They were fined 8000 yuan, 3000 yuan, and 1500 yuan respectively before they were released.

[Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Zhong Jixiang, the head of "610 office" of Jianchang County ordered the Public Security Bureau and thee political and judiciary committees to abduct over 100 Dafa practitioners to brainwashing sessions. Scores of homes were searched, and fines in total of about 30,000 yuan were extorted. Over 20 were sent to forced labor camps and 25 were brainwashed forcibly. Others were forced to leave home, listed as wanted, or fired. Zhong is still persecuting Dafa practitioners in the area, threatening that if any practitioner does not write a guarantee not to practice Falun Gong they will either be sent to a forced labor camp or jail.

[Jiaozhou City, Shandong Province] Officers at the Center Primary School in the former Wangezhuang Township have detained Dafa practitioners for extended terms. Song Guixiang, a 58-year-old "Excellent Teacher" titleholder at the school, was illegally detained by the school authority for two years because she bravely exposed the lies of Jiang Zemin's regime and validated the goodness of Falun Dafa to the public. She was locked in a dark warehouse, which had no electricity and little water. She was not allowed to leave the warehouse at anytime. She suffered through freezing winters, hot summers, and being bit by insects. The mental torture and long-term loneliness are beyond what a normal person could bear or even imagine.

[Wuchang City, Heilongjiang Province] Xu Lianzhi is a 69 year-old Dafa practitioner who lives in the Wuchang Township. She has been weak and sick since childhood. For many years, she has suffered the effects of illness, mental depression and poverty. In 1996, after she began to practice Dafa, her diseases were cured miraculously. Since July 20, 1999, local street offices, police stations, and the "610 Office" have frequently searched her home, and she has been arrested and sent to a forced labor camp. In May 2003, she was once again abducted from her home to the 2^nd Detention Center of Wuchang City. She suffered the torture, which injured her seriously and she became very weak. When officers sent her to the Wanjia Forced Labor Camp at Harbin City, the camp refused to accept her because she was too weak, and she was brought back to the 2^nd Detention Center of Wuchang City. Later, the Public Security Bureau bribed the Wanjia Forced Labor Camp to have Xu sent there for a two-year term.

Yan Weicheng, the former head of the political and judiciary committee in the Niuxintai township, has been leading police officers from the Niuxintai Police Station to search homes of Dafa practitioners, abduct, and detain Dafa practitioners. They have sent Dafa practitioners to forced labor camp and extorted money from their families. Since July 20, 2003, through Yan's efforts, over 60 Dafa practitioners have been detained, and over 30 have been sent to forced labor camps. Many are still in forced labor camps. Many have also been forced to leave their homes and have lost their jobs. This has caused great pain to Falun Gong practitioners and their families.

Zhu Xianfu and Mo Zhengshan from the Wuchang City "610 Office" have abducted about 100 Dafa practitioners and sent them to brainwashing sessions, at the same time extorting money from them. Zhu Xianfu has also ordered Fu Yanchun and Liu Xiaoling to curse at and torture Dafa practitioners with electric batons as well as other cruel methods.
