Unnamed sources indicate that in September 2003, Nongan Court in Changchun City, Jilin Province illegally tried Dafa practitioners Mr. Han Libin, Mr. Han Lihui, Mr. Fu Guijie, and Mr. Fu Dexiu, and sentenced them to nine, seven, eight and five years in prison, respectively.
2. [Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province] Dafa Practitioner Ms. Lu Lijuan Stricken with Amnesia due to Torture in Harbin Drug Rehabilitation Center
Dafa practitioner Ms. Lu Lijuan in Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province, is being illegally detained in the Harbin Drug Rehabilitation Center in Heilongjiang Province. The staff there beat up Ms. Lu savagely and injured her head. Although her head has been stitched, Ms. Lu apparently suffered a brain injury and lost her memory. In addition, the staff also broke three of Ms. Lu's ribs. Despite Ms. Lu's health condition, Harbin Drug Rehabilitation Center is still detaining her and sealing all information about her condition. The details of her case are yet to be investigated.

3. [Nanyang City, Henan Province] Henan Province Dafa Practitioner Mr. Li Jianzhou in Mortal Danger Due to Torture
Mr. Li Jianzhou is a Dafa practitioner in Nanyang City, Henan Province. It has been two years since the police abducted him at a Dafa materials site. Mr. Li Jianzhou is now in mortal danger due to the police torture, but they continue to detain and torture him. The police notified his family to come and bring him home, but the truth is that the police just wanted to lure them over and force them to pay for Mr. Li's medical expenses from the torture. Mr. Li Jianzhou is still being kept in Xinmi County Hospital where he is still suffering from police torture.
4. [Xian County, Hebei Province] Xian County Police Illegally Abduct Dafa Practitioners into Shijiazhuang Women's Forced Labor Camp for Forced Brainwashing
Recently, the Public Security Office in Xian County, Hebei Province kept abducting Dafa practitioners to the Shijiazhuang Female Forced Labor Camp where the 5th Squadron subjected them to forced brainwashing. They have also extorted 3,000 yuan [500 yuan is the average monthly income for an urban worker in China.] from these Dafa practitioners' families. There are approximately 60 people at the 5th Squadron who have renounced Dafa and become collaborators to Jiang's persecution against Dafa. These collaborators persecute Dafa practitioners at Shijiazhuang by closely watching them, denying them sleep, and bombarding them with distorted understandings of Dafa principles and outright fabrications to confuse and brainwash them.

5. [Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province] Shijiazhuang Forced Labor Camp Savagely Tortures Dafa Practitioners
The formerly named "304 Middle Squadron" is torturing Dafa practitioners most savagely. Those determined practitioners with a steadfast faith in Dafa are now isolated and illegally detained in obscure shacks or other squadrons' rooms in obscure locations. This is done to hide the details of persecution from the visiting families of inmates and Dafa practitioners as well as from the inspections of provincial and city government officials of various departments. These Dafa practitioners suffer from being hung in the air for extended periods of time, savage beatings, denied use of the toilet, and shocks by electric batons. Many of these severely tortured Dafa practitioners have suffered mental collapse from the constant persecution.

Liu Yuejun from the "610 Office" abducted Wuhan Dafa practitioner Mr. Liu Yuehan at Hankou Train Station in Wuhan on October 29, 2003 and took him to a forced brainwashing center. [Note: "610 Office" is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.]
7. [Wuxue City, Hubei Province] Dafa Practitioner Ms. Cai Meilan is Abducted and Taken to the Forced Brainwashing Center
Ms. Cai Meilan is a Dafa practitioner in Wuxue City, Hubei Province who was illegally sentenced to one and a half years in the forced labor camp. She was brainwashed at Shayang Forced Labor Camp. After returning home, Ms. Cai realized that she had made a mistake, and started to cultivate in Falun Dafa again. While Ms. Cai Meilan was clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa to sentient beings, she was abducted again by the police. During the illegal detention, Ms. Cai went on a hunger strike, and was secretly transferred to an unknown forced brainwashing center in Hubei Province.

At 5 AM on October 4, 2003, Niuxibu town government officials and police officers from Niuxibu Police Station started to abduct Dafa practitioners in Niuxibu Town. Twenty to thirty people went to Tiejiazhuang Village, climbed the walls and broke into the homes of Dafa practitioners Zhao Xincui and Chen Taiying. Fortunately, neither of them were at home at the time.
Meanwhile, another group arrived at the Xiangyang Rige Village and tried to abduct practitioner Ms. Wang Shuhua from her home. Fortunately, Ms. Wang was not at home at the time and escaped the abduction. However, they ransacked her home without any search warrant.
Previously, on September 17, of last year the police abducted Ms. Wang Shuhua and her husband Sui Guangxi. Mr. Sui Guangxi suffered from extreme torture at the "610 Office" and lost the ability to look after himself after he was released. He died in Pingdu City People's Hospital on June 5, 2003. 12. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] The "610 Office" Illegally Detains Dafa Practitioner Ms. Li Xiumei
Dafa practitioner Ms. Li Xiumei is a nurse at the Health Center in Landi Town, Pingdu City, Shandong Province. At the time of sending this news to Chinese Minghui.org, it has been almost 40 days since Pingdu City "610 Office" illegally detained Ms. Li Xiumei without any reason. Since cultivating in Falun Dafa, Ms. Li has been energetic and healthy. It's over 40 miles from her home to her work, but Ms. Li often rides a bicycle to work all year round. Sources indicate that the "610 Office" has forced her to stand for over 12 hours and denied her any food. In just 40 days, the perfectly healthy Ms. Li became extremely frail and now suffers from a stomach problem, which prevents her from eating a normal diet.
