1. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Liu Quan and Other Falun Dafa Practitioners Unlawfully Sentenced to Prison
In July 2003, a storage site for Falun Gong materials was sabotaged. Benxi City Falun Dafa practitioners Mr. Liu Quan, Mr. Zhou Zhi, Zhang, and Ms. Ren Guifen were unlawfully arrested. Recently, Liu Quan has been unlawfully sentenced to twelve years in prison, Zhang seven years in prison, and Ms. Ren Guifen three years of forced labor. Falun Dafa practitioner Zhou Zhi went on a hunger strike in the detention center protesting the unlawful persecution. Information about Zhou has been tightly blocked, and it is not clear whether he is alive or not. Liu Quan is in the process of appealing the verdict.

Mr. Zhang Peng is a Falun Dafa practitioner in Anshan City, Liaoning Province. On August 16, 2002, the police in the Liaoyang area unlawfully arrested him. He was then unlawfully sentenced to seven years in prison. On August 24, 2003, Mr. Zhang was sent to the Yingkou Prison for over twenty days before being transferred to the Dong Ling Prison in Shenyang City for two days. He was then sent to Dabei Prison, and denied visits from family members.

3. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] 67-Year-Old Falun Dafa Practitioner Jin Chengqin Unlawfully Sent to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Jin Chengqin, 67, is from Anshan City, Liaoning Province. On August 8, 2003, officers from the Changdian Police Station called in two 110 [police emergency number] police vehicles and broke into Ms. Jin's home to unlawfully arrest her. She was sent to the Anshan No. 3 Detention Center for half a month, then transferred to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp, where she remains today.

A TV series defaming Falun Dafa was aired at 10:30 p.m. on October 30 and October 31, 2003 by the TV station at the Yinchuan Branch of the Lanzhou Railroad Bureau. This series continues to air, in attempt to corrupt public opinion of Dafa.

5. [Jingmen City, Hubei Province] Hubei Falun Dafa Practitioner Shang Qifeng Abducted to a Brainwashing Center
Ms. Shang Qifeng is from Jingshan County in Jingmen City, Hubei Province. At the end of October 2003,the police were alerted that she was clarifying the truth to the public, and she was sent to the Jingmen Brainwashing Center immediately following her unlawful arrest. She remains in custody, but the exact location is unknown.
6. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Various Expenses at the Qingdao Brainwashing Center Exceed 1 Million Yuan
Geng Shixiang, deputy director of the Qingdao "610 Office," threatened over and over again during brainwashing sessions, "If you cannot be transformed in the Qingdao '610 Office,' we will send you to the provincial brainwashing center in Jinan City or the Wangcun Brainwashing Center in Zibo City. If that's not enough, we have forced labor camps lined up. You will remain there until transformed. Then there are prisons. After being transformed, if you ever change your mind, we will lock you back up. All the '610 Offices' across the country are all doing it this way. If you go on a hunger strike, we force-feed you to your last breath." [The "610 Office" is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.]
Jiang's regime has spent a tremendous portion of public funds in establishing brainwashing bases affiliated with the "610 Offices," although they are not publicly identified as such. Instead, the plaque on the door reads, "Qingdao Certification Institute of Massage." To date, the expenses for this brainwashing center run by the Qingdao "610 Office" have exceeded 1 million Yuan [500 Yuan being the average monthly income for an urban worker in China]. Innocent Falun Dafa practitioners have been abducted to the center, and many families torn apart, and yet the "610 Office" officials claim that Falun Gong is to blame for breaking up practitioners' families.

7. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Whereabouts Unknown for Falun Dafa Practitioner Zhu Limin, of Panjin City
Falun Dafa practitioner Zhu Limin is from Panjin City, Liaoning Province. Zhu was unlawfully sentenced to prison in Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province in 2000, and there is no information about Zhu's situation or whereabouts.
8. [Shandong Province] Evil Deeds of Wu Guanzheng, Former Party Secretary of Shandong Province
In mid-June 1998, Qilu Evening Paper, the most widely circulated newspaper in Shandong Province, published an article attacking Falun Dafa. On June 22, thousands of Falun Dafa practitioners peacefully clarified the truth to the leaders of the evening paper. After knowing the facts about Falun Gong, the leaders of the evening paper promised the practitioners that a full page would be reserved to clarify the truth and introduce Falun Dafa to the public in a positive light. When Wu Guanzheng, then Party Secretary of Shandong Province heard about this, he issued strict orders to prevent the evening paper from fulfilling that promise. In the end, Qilu Evening Paper gave in to Wu's pressure and only published a short article in an inconspicuous corner admitting errors and omissions in its previous report.
In 2000, Wu Guanzheng went to "inspect" the Women's Forced Labor Camp in Jinan City, Shandong Province. This directly contributed to the escalation of abuse and torture of Falun Dafa practitioners in the labor camp.
Wu Guanzheng paved his way for promotion in the Party ranks with the blood of Falun Dafa practitioners. From 1999 to 2002, during his tenure as the Party secretary of Shandong Province, the death cases in Shandong Province reported by clearwisdom.net website ranked the most severe in China.
