Persecution of Practitioners By the Political and Judiciary Committee, 610 Office and Policemen in Gongzhuling City, Jilin Province

Since July 20, 1999, the Political and Judiciary Committee, 610 Office Gongzhuling City Police Department and other people who follow Jiang Zemin's political group in persecuting Dafa practitioners have used the most vicious means to force Dafa practitioners to give up practicing. Some examples are illegal arrests, detention, brainwashing, forced labor, prison sentences as well as other vicious means in an effort to force Dafa practitioners to give up their practice.

In September 1999, Mr. Li Hongjun, Mr. Sun Zhongqi, Ms. Yan Lifei, Ms. Wang Yuemei, Ms. Shao Lixin, Mr. Wang Bo, Ms. Song Guizhen, Ms. Han Xiuxian, Ms. Fu Yanhua, Ms. Chen Mei and other Dafa practitioners from Gongzhuling City went to Beijing to appeal to the central government, the Jilin Provincial Party Committee, the Siping City Party Committee and the GongZhuling City Party Committee.

Jiang Zemin's followers ordered a persecution of Dafa practitioners who had gone to Beijing. Leaders were threatened with dismissal from their positions and their work units were also implicated. Under the pressure of this Implication Policy, the police department used police vehicles to illegally arrest Dafa practitioners and kept them handcuffed all the way to the detention center even when practitioners had meals or used the restroom. In the detention center, practitioners were persecuted and were illegally sentenced to one year of forced labor without trial.

In September 1999, Ms. Zhang Guilan, Ms. Wang Mingru, and Ms. Wang Xisu, all Dafa practitioners from Fanjiachun of Gongzhuling City were illegally sentenced to one year of forced labor because they practiced Falun Dafa.

In December 1999, Mr. He Futian, a Dafa practitioner from Shizhugou Village of Hejiachun Town, Gongzhuling City was illegally sentenced to one year of forced labor. He was then forced to become destitute and homeless in order to avoid being illegally arrested at home.

In October 1999, the home of practitioner Ms. Zu Dezhen was monitored by a political instructor whose last name was Gao for one week. However, no evidence had been found. He then led some people to illegally search her home and accosted her to the city police department for illegal interrogation. They asked her whether she had been to Beijing. She firmly refused to cooperate with the evil persecution. Finally, the policemen used all kinds of excuses to extort 4,000 Yuan [500 Yuan is the average monthly income for an urban worker in China.] from her family members and then released her.

In June 2000, Dafa practitioners, Mr. Liu Xuezheng, Ms. Zhang Liying, Ms. Zhang Liwen, Ms. Wang Lijun and others from Gongzhuling City went to Beijing to appeal for Dafa. They were sent to Gongzhuling Detention Center for illegal detention for an extended term and persecuted there. Mr. Liu Xuezheng was illegally sentenced to two years of forced labor. Ms. Zhang Liying was illegally sentenced to one year of forced labor.

The couple Mr. Liu Xuezheng and Ms. Zhang Liying were extorted of over 70,000 Yuan by the police department and finally their prison terms were dismissed.

In June 2000, Xu Bohui, a practitioner from Taojia Town of Gongzhuling City was arrested because she practiced Falun Gong in the park. She was arrested and illegally detained in Gongzhuling Detention Center for 45 days and they extorted 500 Yuan from her.

In August 2000, practitioner Ms. Sun Li was arrested and illegally detained by the Tiebei Police Station because she delivered Teacher's article there.

In October 2000, practitioner Ms. Chen Limei was illegally sentenced to one year forced labor because she went to Tiananmen to validate Dafa. She was then sent to Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp for persecution. Ms. Chen Limei received all kinds of brutal treatment. However, she would rather die than give up her firm belief in the universal principle of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance". During the New Year period of 2001, she stepped out of the evil den with dignity.

In November 2000, practitioner Ms. Shao Lixin and Mr. Wang Bo, a couple, were turned in to the police. Lingdong Police illegally searched their homes and found truth materials and Dafa books. They were sentenced to one year of forced labor again. Mr. Wang Bo was sent to the Jiutia City Yinmahe Forced Labor Camp. Ms. Shao Lixin was again sent to Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp for persecution.

Guo Fengrong, Wang Liwei and Li Chaoyang, the director generals of Gongzhuling City Post Bureau were afraid of the Jiang Zemin regime's Implication Policy and lost their official positions and were expelled.

Ms. Song Guizhen and Ms. Han Xiuxian's took away their government service and Party registration. Such conduct is against government policy because people who are sent to forced labor can't be expelled from their employment.

Gongzhuling City Passenger Transportation Company fired two Dafa practitioners.

Gongzhuling City Gold Factory fired one practitioner.

Gongzhuling City Huanglong Company dismissed practitioner Wang Lingyu. He is now forced to work outside his hometown.

In the year 2001, Mr. Wang Lingyu was illegally sentenced to one year of forced labor because he firmly believed in Dafa.

In the Year 2001, a female practitioner from Xiangshui Town of Gongzhuling City was illegally sent to a forced labor camp because she went to Beijing to validate Dafa. Right before the Sixteenth Communist Party Conference, she was illegally abducted and force into a brainwashing class for persecution. She only had a thin set of clothes and one shoe with her at the time of her detention. (The Sixteenth Communist Party Conference was held in November.)

In July 2001, practitioner Li Jie, a former employee of Gongzhuling City Industry and Commercial Bank, was illegally taken to a detention center from home and detained for over three months. She firmly believed in Dafa. She is now forced to be destitute and homeless to avoid being illegally arrested at home again.

In the summer of 2001, Gongzhuling City Police Department beat a female practitioner from Beicheng City to death.

In November 2001, Xiao Zhang from the Tiebei Nongyan District of Gongzhulin City and two other practitioners went to a suburb to distribute Dafa truth materials. They were reported by misguided people in Linzi Village of Lianyun Harbor, Gongzhuling City and arrested. Each one was sentenced to one year of forced labor. Only a few days after Xiao Zhang was released home, the 610 Office forced her to attend a brainwashing class for persecution before the Sixteenth Communist Party Conference.

In December 2001, practitioner Ms. Wang Yanhua was illegally arrested to Gongzhulin City Detention Center because she insisted on her belief in Falun Dafa and later was illegally sentenced to one year of forced labor. She was released in September 2002. In October 2002, the police department abducted and forced her to attend a brainwashing class. She went on a hunger strike to protest the illegal arrest and stepped out of the brainwashing class with dignity.

In 2002, since Ms. Zhang Guilan, a practitioner from Fanjia Village, didn't give up her belief of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, Fanjia Village Policemen again illegally searched her home, arrested her and took her to a detention center. She was illegally sentenced to one year of forced labor. Ms. Cai, a retired teacher of Gongzhuling City Zhangqian Elementary School was illegally sentenced to one year of forced labor because she firmly practiced Dafa.

Around the Chinese New Year in 2002, the 610 Office and police department desperately persecuted Dafa practitioners from Gongzhuling City. They broke into practitioners' homes at might and arrested and harassed practitioners. The truth material sites in Hebei Province, Henan Province, Lingxi City, Tiebei City and other sites were destroyed. Over 30 Dafa practitioners were arrested and illegally detained in the detention centers, prisons and forced labor camps and were persecuted inhumanely.

Before the Chinese New Year of 2002, a practitioner named Mr. Sun from Gongzhuling City was arrested by two policemen while he was posting a "Falun Dafa is Good" poster in front of the Tiebei Police Station. He was sent to prison and a detention center and was persecuted. He didn't give up practicing Falun Gong and was later illegally sentenced to three years of forced labor. He has been detained in the Changchun City Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp and has been brutally tortured.

In January 2002, practitioner Mr. Sun Zhongqi and Mr. Huang Baoxing from Gongzhuling City went to the country to distribute Dafa truth materials. They were reported by a villager from Sidaogang Village of Gongzhuling City. Gongzhuling City Police Department and Lingxi Police Station sent ten police vehicles to arrest them. Mr. Sun Zhongqi had been tortured cruelly with instruments like the "Tiger Bench". However, he didn't give up practicing Falun Gong. He was later sentenced to three years of forced labor and is now detained in the Changchun City Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp for persecution. Mr. Huang Baoxing was sentenced to one year of forced labor.

In the Year 2002, one day before the Chinese New Year, Mr. Liu Jingcha, a practitioner from Gongzhuling City, was illegally arrested when he went home to pick up something at 4am by the policemen who waited in his home monitoring his family members. Mr. Liu was sent to the detention center for persecution because he retained his belief in the universal principles of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" and refused to turn in his fellow practitioner Mr. Wang Yu.

In December 2001, Mr. Wang Yu, an officer of Gongzhuling City Air Force, went to Tiananmen Square to validate Dafa and return safely. He was later betrayed by a collaborator [former practitioner whose minds have gone astray due to brainwashing and torture by Jiang Zemin's regime and are now used to persecute their fellow practitioners]. On January 2002, he became homeless in order to avoid being illegally arrested at home.

Jiang ordered a reward of 10,000 Yuan per day to arrest him. The "610 Office" in Gongzhuling City posted Mr. Wang Yu's photo and announcement to try to arrest him. In March 2002, Mr. Wang Yu was unfortunately arrested at a Dafa truth material site. The site was destroyed and other practitioners were arrested in succession. They used military police to arrest Mr. Wang Yu and the loss cost us 750,000 Yuan in total.

A morning before the Chinese New Year in 2002, Gongzhuling City Dafa practitioner Ms. Yan Lijing's home was illegally searched by the "610 Office" and Hebei Police Station while she was at home. The truth clarifying VCDs about Dafa were found. Policemen forcibly carried her into a police vehicle and sent her to a detention center. She went on hunger strike to protest the illegal detention. On the night of the Chinese New Yea's Eve, she shouted "Falun Dafa is good". After 18 days on a hunger strike, she was extremely weak. The policemen in the detention center were afraid that she would pass away during the Chinese New Year, and notified the Gongzhuling City Police Department. The district policeman Zhang Fulin then extorted Ms. Yan's husband for over 4,000 Yuan. She was later carried home by her family members.

One night in January 2002, Policeman Lu from Gongzhuling City Lingxi Police Station led people and went to Dafa practitioner Mr. Xiao Jie's home for an illegal search and found nothing. They then confiscated 200 Yuan from Mr. Xiao who was a teacher.

During the two National Conferences in the year 2002, Mr. Wang Sheng, a practitioner from Gongzhuling City was arrested and taken to detention by misguided people. He underwent all kinds of brutal torture and was hanging on the edge of his life. Policemen were afraid of his death and thus notified his family members to take him home. Mr. Wang Sheng is now unable to return home in order to avoid illegal arrest.

On May 2002, Gongzhuling City Dafa practitioner Ms. Chen Limei, Ms. Sun Yan, MS. Fan, a teacher of Gongzhuling City No. 1 High School and others went to Beijing to appeal. Ms. Chen Limei was reported by a taxi driver and sent to Gongzhuling City Detention Center for persecution. She went on a hunger strike to protest the illegal detention for 28 days and was tortured to the brink of death. Finally, the detention center let her family members take her home. Ms. Sun Yan was blocked by policemen and wasn't released until they had extorted tens of thousand of Yuan. Ms. Fan was sentenced to one year of forced labor and sent to Hezuizi Forced Labor Camp for further persecution.

In May 2002, two policemen from Tiebei Police Station stayed in the grocery store operated by Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhang Li's family and monitored her for more than one month. They again illegally detained her for half a month.

In May 2002, because he didn't give up practicing Falun Gong, Mr. Gong Shuyu, a practitioner from Fanjia Village was illegally arrested and taken to the Gongzhuling City Police Department for persecution. On the way to the police department, he was put in shackles.

In April 2002, Dafa practitioner Mr. Wang went to Liaoning Province to pick up Dafa truth materials and was arrested. He is now being illegally detained in Fushun City Forced Labor Camp in Liaoning Province and has been tortured in many ways. His righteous thoughts and behavior have strongly shaken the evil forces.

In April 2002, practitioner Mr. Lihongjun and Ms. Yan Lichun were followed by policemen when they were on their way to Changchun City. They were illegally arrested at a Dafa truth material site in Tiebei City along with over ten other practitioners. The truth material site was destroyed. Mr. Li Hongjun was illegally sentenced to three years of forced labor and is now detained in the Changchun City Chaoyanggou Fprced Labor Camp. Ms. Yan Lichun was illegally sentenced to three years of forced labor as well and sent to the Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp for persecution. Policemen there used electric batons to shock her. She suffered a mental collapse due to the persecution and was finally allowed to go home with family members in June 2003.

In May, 2002, the police illegally abducted Mr. Zhang Zhigang and Mr. Qi, practitioners from Gongzhuling City, and took them to a detention center and brutally tortured them because they refused to give up practicing Falun Gong. They were detained in the detention center for 8 months beyond the legal limit. Due to the torture, their health conditions were really bad. They were weak and skinny. But the police did not release them. They were later sentenced to three years and five years in jail respectively in January, 2003.

In May 2002, the police in Gongzhuling City illegally arrested Dafa practitioner Ms. Shao Lixin for the 3^rd time. The Education Bureau tried to force her to spread lies and slander Dafa and Teacher in a tour around Siping City Education System. Under the order of the "610 Office", Zhang Fulin, the head of the department political security and other policemen abducted her to Gongzhuling City police department from Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. They put handcuffs and heavy shackles on her and tied her to a chair, guarded by 4-5 policemen. They were waiting to hand her over to their superiors. Bur Ms. Shao used her strong righteous thoughts and stopped the evil persecution.

When her righteous thoughts came out, miracles happened. The handcuffs opened as soon as she had a thought. The ropes were untied when she shook them. The shackles were opened too. She picked up her clothes and walked out of the police station firmly under the eyes of the policemen. Upon getting out of the gate, she saw a very high wall and recalled Teacher's word in Zhuan Falun, "There was an elderly woman in the past who had her feet bound to make them smaller, but she could still jump effortlessly over a wall of two or more meters." As soon as she had that thought, she found a broad road in front of her and she returned to the great current of Fa-rectification. Her righteous thoughts and actions effectively frightened the evil. The police found that she had disappeared and listed her as wanted everywhere. They also tried to use her mother as bait to catch her.

In May, 2002, police from Qinjiatun Police Station abducted Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Yumei to Gongzhuling City Detention Center because she refused to give up practicing Falun Gong. The police also tried to force her to move her resident registration out of Qinjiatun. Ms Wang went on hunger strike to protest the illegal detention. The police then conducted brutal force-feeding on her and caused her a stomach injury. She could not eat anything as a result. She also had a lung infection and coughed. She went on a hunger strike for 17 days. With Teacher's protection, she broke out of the detention center and rejoined the Fa-rectification.

Just before the "Party 16^th National Conference", the "610 Office" and police department started another round of persecution against Dafa practitioners. They arrested many practitioners with all kinds of tactics. They used deceiving methods to break into practitioners' homes in the evening and arrest practitioners. Some practitioners were pulled out of their beds while sleeping. Some were tricked into coming out and then arrested. Some police climbed on top of walls to watch people's homes. Once they found practitioners at home, they would just jumped in and arrest them. Some practitioners were arrested in their work units or on farm fields. Some practitioners were tricked into going to the police station with lies such as 'just want to have a talk' and were then detained. Over 60 practitioners were arrested during that period.

After 11:00pm on October 24, 2002, Ms. Wang Yumei was sleeping. Over 10 policemen broke into her home and pulled her out of her bed. With no shoes and only wearing her underwear on she was thrown into a police vehicle and sent to the "610 Office" Brainwashing session in Gongzhuling City which was actually a jail in a detention cetner. It was cold in October. There were over 30 practitioners arrested just like Ms. Wang. A practitioner from Xiangshui Township was carried out by the police. She refused to eat and drink and had heart disease symptoms. But the police still did not release her. Ms. Wang Yayan was abducted to the brainwashing session from home and was in a coma. Zhao Luanping, the head of "610 Office", was afraid of her death and had to release her.

A female practitioner in Huaide Town of Gongzhuling city was tricked into coning back home from Changchun city. Before she got in her front door, she was abducted and taken to a brainwashing session. Two female practitioners in Daling Township were abducted and forced into the brainwashing session as soon as they got home. A female practitioner's son was going to have a wedding on October 26 but she was abducted and forced to attend the brainwashing session on the evening of October 23. The police tricked practitioner Mr. Li Qing in Qinjiatun and forced him to attend a brainwashing session. His family went to the police station to retrieve him and the police told them that they had no idea where he was. The family then went to the "610 Office" and found out that Mr. Li Qiang was in a detention center. Mr. Li went on hunger strike to protest the illegal detention. As a result, he had stomach bleeding and was released. Dafa practitioner Ms. Song Guizhen was doing temporary work in Changchun city.

The "610 Office" specifically asked her to return to work (she was on a blacklist) and then ordered Li Xibin from Lingxi Police Station and Chief Zhang from the Lingxi Street Committee to force her to attend a brainwashing session. They then searched her workplace and found nothing. She went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution, her heart disease recurred and she went into a coma. Zhao Luanping, the head of "610 Office", was afraid she might die and informed her husband to take her home. The "610 Office" and the Gongzhuling City Post Office punished her financially and threatened to keep her from returning to work if she refused to give up practicing Falun Gong. She had to make a living by doing other work.

In August 2003, the "610 Office" in Gongzhuling City started the 4^th brainwashing session and illegally abducted over 20 practitioners and persecuted them. The Railway Station of Gongzhuling City persecuted practitioner Mr. Liu Xuezheng and his wife Ms. Zhang Liying by constraining their personal freedom, cutting off their income sources, and not paying them a full salary (only paying them the minimum cost of living) In 2003, Mr. Liu Xuezheng was laid off and the police from the Henan Police Station went to his home to watch him daily.

3Practitioners are forced to sit on a small iron bench that is approximately 20 cm (6 inches) tall with their knees tied together. With their hands tied behind their backs or sometimes placed on their knees, they are forced to sit straight up and look straight ahead. They are not allowed to turn their heads, close their eyes, talk to anyone or move at all. Several inmates are assigned to watch over the practitioners and force themáto remain motionless while sitting on the bench.
