(Clearwisdom.net) Australia is in the southern hemisphere of the earth. This year, the summer is extremely hot and dry, but on Sunday January 19 2003, the weather in Melbourne was pleasant with mild sunshine and a nice breeze. The good weather attracted many people to the Lunar New Year Celebrations at Richmond (Vietnam Street). Falun Dafa practitioners from Melbourne presented a beautiful performance to the visitors as their most sincere greeting, demonstrating the Falun Gong exercises as examples of the attractive and ancient traditions of Chinese culture.
At the Falun Dafa booth, practitioners demonstrated the exercises. Six young practitioners also took turns demonstrating the 5 sets of exercises on the main stage. The Lotus Dance accompanied by "PuDu" music brought the beauty and peace of Falun Dafa to all in the audience and attracted more people toward the main stage. Next, a couple of westerner practitioners sang the song "Just Come for You" and won warm applause from the audience.
At the crowded booth, practitioners passed out a lot of copies of truth materials and CDs. Some Chinese passed by our booth and spoke out in surprise, "Look at here, its Falun Gong." Many Chinese came to our booth and asked for materials. The demonstration by young practitioners from Minghui School attracted many young visitors. The local media interviewed the practitioners during the activities.
