(Clearwisdom.net) Starting on January 12, 2003, Falun Gong practitioners held a three-day global peaceful appeal and candlelight vigil to expose the Jiang regime's ruthless persecution of Falun Gong and to demand an immediate end to the killing.

Many Falun Gong practitioners have been tortured to death in China's forced-labor camps, detention centers, jails, drug rehabilitation centers and police stations. Since November 2002, 43 death cases have come to light and been verified outside of China. Among them, 22 practitioners were tortured to death after November 2002. Reports of the other death cases that occurred earlier did not break through the information blockade until after November 1. These practitioners were unlawfully imprisoned and passed away due to torture simply because they would not renounce their belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and persisted in exposing the truth.
