Truth of the Persecution

In Deyang Prison of Sichuan Province Falun Gong practitioners are brutally beaten, tortured and insulted in various ways. They are locked up randomly, watched over closely, and gathered together to be scolded. They are seriously beaten by electronic batons, wooden rulers and bamboo sticks. They are forced to do heavy labor work for a long time and punished physically in various ways. They are not allowed to eat, drink, or even take a break and are forced to do intensive physical exercises. The prison also holds brainwashing classes attempting to force practitioners to give up their practice of Dafa.

There is an elderly couple in Congtai District, Handan City, Hebei Province. The wife is 64-years old and the husband is 70-years old. They were arrested four times for not giving up practicing Falun Gong. Their home was searched twice. On the night of November 3, 2002, police from Lianfangdong Police Station once again broke into their home and created a mess. They also stole 400 Yuan, the only money the couple had. Later they kidnapped them and sent them to the brainwashing class held by the "610 Office" of Handan City. They have been severely harassed and tortured for the past two months.

Zhang Liang, the head of the First Department of Tongnan County Public Security Bureau of Chongqing City kidnaps Falun Gong practitioners and blackmails them for money. He threatens their relatives and tries to get them to bail Zhang Liang out for 1,000 Yuan to 20,000 Yuan, otherwise they will be sent to labor re-education. He always coaxes the practitioners' family to pick them up by handing him money.

The mouthpiece media of the dictator of Mainland China recently published an article titled: "Chongqing City Police announced that they broke the underground organization of Falun Gong." In fact, they are distorting the truth. From this article readers can see clearly how the Chinese media misleads people and slanders Falun Gong.

A letter from a Falun Gong practitioner to his friend: The ancient people said that to listen to both sides helps one understand the truth. Why has Falun Gong spread widely to over 60 countries, but is persecuted in China? Who is interfering with human rights and misusing the law? Who is disturbing society and killing the innocent? How similar is the present situation of China to the Cultural Revolution? Jiang lies and uses the most despicable means to persecute Falun Gong. The slander made by the country's media against Falun Gong aims at stirring up hatred toward Falun Gong from people who do not know the truth and find excuses for persecution. But righteousness will eventually defeat viciousness. Those who persecute the innocent will eventually be pushed into the court of history.

Practitioners Exchange Insights

About giving up life and death: To a practitioner, you are a god if you can give up the attachment of life and death, otherwise you are a human. My personal understanding is that in order to let go of the attachment of life and death, we need to understand that just to be a human is not the purpose. The purpose of life is to return to one's true self. Meanwhile we should understand the principle of "having heard the Tao in the morning, you can die at night." After having heard the truth of the universe, death is actually nothing to be afraid of, even though many ordinary people fear it. Facing the evil we should not cooperate with them nor obey their orders or requirements, and we do not accept them at all. Only by strengthening our righteous thoughts can we break through the arrangements of the old forces.

How can we tell what the arrangements of the old forces are? Recently I always imagine things as though they are happening in a novel: How should I validate Dafa and run away if I get caught? It is designed like a novel. Also recently there are some not very diligent practitioners that were arrested. With regard to this, some practitioners said that it is the last stage of Fa-rectification, and it [referring to the arrest of those practitioners] is one last chance given to them by Master. The paths of practitioners are arranged by Master, not by the old forces. Sometimes the way we talk and do things amounts to following the arrangements of the old forces unconsciously. This requires that Dafa practitioners keep strong righteous thoughts and a clear main consciousness, and realize that at all times we are Dafa disciples during the Fa-rectification process. We should base everything on Dafa to determine what the arrangements of the old forces are and to eliminate them.

One night I was home alone. At dawn I found a burglar broke into my home with a flashlight in his left hand and a knife in his right hand. I was scared and I screamed: "Master, help me!" Suddenly a flow of energy flew from the head. I calmed down at once, and said loudly: "Stay there and do not move. I am a practitioner. You can not hurt me." He stayed there and could not move, saying: "I can not move, my head hurts." Later he ran away.

An overseas Chinese in Australia wrote to the Mayor of Zhengzhou City (in Henan Province) about the persecution of Dafa practitioner Song Xu: "At present I teach at a university in Australia. Looking back on China's 5,000 years of history, there has never been such an overwhelming persecution of innocent people. Can't we in China tolerate 'Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance'? What Jiang Zemin has done threatens the welfare of the Chinese nation. It is criticized by the world forum. Song Xu is now detained at Zhengzhou First Labor Camp. I hope you can do something in your power to help free Song Xu."
