CABRAMATTA shoppers were treated to a veritable feast for the eyes when local Falun Dafa practitioners held their second annual open day last Wednesday.

Freedom Plaza was packed with a curious crowd during the day-long series of events and performances. Fairfield Mayor Anwar Khoshaba officially opened proceedings before practitioners demonstrated the five exercises, which Falun Dafa [practitioners] believe restores harmony and balance within the body.

The Chinese Dancing School of Sydney and a local flamenco dance group also took to the stage.

Organiser Willa Huang said she was pleased with the success of the open day. "The program was splendid and the atmosphere was gentle. I'm sure the audience had a great time," she said.

Falun Dafa, which is sometimes called Falun Gong, is a traditional Chinese practice which aims to improve the mind and body through meditation and exercise.
