University of Queensland (Australia) Student Newspaper Publishes Full Feature Article, "The Story of Falun Gong"

(Clearwisdom.net) Semper Floreat is the independent student newspaper of the University of Queensland, Australia. Funded by the UQ Student Union, the biweekly newspaper is rated as one of the top student newspapers in the country. With a distribution of 6,000 per issue, its readership covers the University of Queensland campus as well as high student areas such as Toowong, Indooroopilly, Paddington, and New Farm and has wide impact in University of Queensland and its surrounding areas.

Through Dafa practitioners' constant efforts, all of the editorial personnel of Semper had watched Falun Gong truth VCDs, visited Falun Gong web sites and downloaded Dafa music. They had gained an understanding of Falun Gong. In its fourth issue of 2002, Semper carried a featured article, "The Story of Falun Gong" and gave a detailed introduction of Falun Gong, from "Founder of Falun Gong" to "What is Cultivation," "Health Benefits," to "Persecution in China." The article emphasized in the end that Falun Gong is not a religion or cult. The two-page article also has images of Falun Gong exercises. The publication of the article had very good effects on clarifying the truth.

Since the publication of the article, practitioners have been using it to introduce Falun Gong to students and professors in the university instead of brochures practitioners printed by themselves. The effects have been very good.
