Solemn Declaration

Since we practice Falun Gong, we strictly require ourselves to be good persons and follow "Truth-Compassion-Tolerance." Although we were healthy both physically and spiritually, we were illegally detained in the brainwashing class for over 1-1/2 years; some even for 20 months, and were treated inhumanly. We were only permitted four hours of sleep daily. They took turns to imbue us non-stop with their evil understanding and theories. They also found some people who had been brainwashed in the city brainwashing class and the forced labor camp to spread their evil understanding to practitioners. If any practitioner did not accept their concepts, the practitioner would be punished or deprived of sleep, continuously forced to stand for seven to eight days in a row, while enduring the rapid-fire brainwashing or punishment. The practitioners did not receive enough food and could not take a shower. During the day, they would be made to stand under the burning sun or get drenched in a thunderstorm. At night, they had both hands tied behind their backs, so they could not fend off the mosquitoes . When they became tired and closed their eyes, they would be cursed. Sometimes, they would use very degrading means to humiliate the practitioners all night. Practitioners were severely injured, physically and mentally, and were also made to suffer economically. Officials from the brainwashing class went to practitioners' workplaces or homes to forcibly collect "living expenses' for the brainwashing class. Usually over 5,000 Yuan were extorted from each practitioner.

"Coercion can never change people's hearts." (Master Li). We solemnly declare herewith: under the persecution, when we were not clear headed, things we have written and said under force and deception that were unfavorable to Dafa, are in fact fundamentally not from our true hearts, and are all invalid. We will persistently cultivate Dafa all the way to the end, and make up with extra effort and retrieve the losses we brought to Dafa.

Solemn Declaration

I was illegally detained, beaten, fined and my home was ransacked many times. Because I had fear, under force, I wrote the " guarantee statement" against my will. One day this year, because a collaborator betrayed us, another practitioner and I were arrested and taken to the "610 Office" brainwashing class and forcibly brainwashed. [Note: The "guarantee statement" is a document that says practitioners are sorry to ever have practiced Falun Dafa, will never go to Beijing to validate the Fa, will never again associate with other practitioners and will give up the practice of Falun Dafa] The detained Falun Gong practitioners had to pay a "brainwashing fee" and deposit of 2,000-3,000 Yuan. (the annual income of a local farmer is only 1,000 Yuan). They also must write the "letter of separation, letter of confession and accusation, letter of exposure and criticism, letter of guarantee." Anyone who doesn't curse Master or doesn't praise the government officials and the "assisted teaching" personnel that persecute practitioners would not be allowed to leave the class. If any practitioners do not listen to them, several collaborators would be on duty, day and night, and would not allow practitioners to sleep until they could not endure any more and gave in to their demands. They also hung practitioners up, tore up Master's book or pictures, and said verbally abusive things about Master to force the practitioners to renounce their faith. If practitioners would not do as they demanded they would forcibly be sent to places like Weifang, and Wangcun for further brainwashing. If practitioners still did not comply, they would be sent to a forced labor camp.

Now I solemnly declare the "guarantee letter" I signed in the past is null and void. I want to make up for the loss I created for Dafa.

Declaration

Since the authorities started to frame Falun Gong, I went to Beijing to appeal in 2000. Personnel from the county police department sent me illegally to a forced labor camp. In the beginning, I was very steadfast in the forced labor camp. I went on a hunger strike to protest, practiced the exercises, recited short articles and clarified the truth to people in the camp. But on June 12, 2001, the authorities in this forced labor camp sent me to another forced labor camp for brainwashing. At that time I had already been on a hunger strike for more than 70 days. I was also daily deprived of sleep. The police and the evil people worked on me, and made me to be in a state of not being clearheaded. Besides that, I actually enlightened on an evil path. On June 16, 2001, I was brainwashed and wrote "The three letters." After I returned to the original forced labor camp, I brainwashed other people. On Nov. 15, 2001, I was released.

Now, I regret this so much, but I can't change back the clock. I solemnly declare that all the behavior that I exhibited in the past that was unfavorable to Dafa is all invalid. I will persistently cultivate Falun Dafa, aid Master in the human world and offer salvation to mankind.

Solemn Declaration

On May 30, 2001, people from the township government and the local police station arrested us to a city brainwashing class. We were detained at a place cut off from the outside world. Practitioners were not allowed to stay together and talk; our conversations and behavior were monitored closely; we were imbued with lies and deceived daily. Under this illegal detention, lasting as long as half a year, we were badly damaged mentally and became fuzzy-headed, let the evil take advantage of a loophole, and wrote the "four letters." We are ashamed. We are sorry we did not adhere to Master's offer of compassionate salvation, that we brought immeasurable losses to Dafa, and have left a hard to remove, dark stain on our cultivation path.

Now we solemnly declare that the "four letters" we wrote, and all other words and behavior that are unfavorable to Dafa are all invalid. We will catch up with the Fa rectification process, and make up for the losses we brought to Dafa, and persistently cultivate Dafa all the way to the end.
