Lotus Flowers with Candles

On Sunday August 4 some Canberra practitioners gathered at the local markets to hand out free lotus flowers. A local practitioner had arranged for the use of a table allocated to non-profit organizations.

Practitioners had worked hard making almost 100 paper lotus flowers during the previous days. By giving away these beautiful flowers, we were able to touch people's hearts and show them the true character of Dafa and Dafa practitioners. We saw many smiling and astonished faces of people who could not believe that anything so beautiful and precious could be freely given away. This reminded me of the way Teacher has given us such a precious Fa freely, and with only our improvement at heart.

Waiting for re-supply to make more flowers

We very quickly ran out, after only three hours of giving away flowers. Emergency re-supplies were made and all the practitioners helped make more flowers on the spot so no one would miss out.

While young children came to receive a flower we were able to discuss the facts about the persecution in China with their parents, and provide them with more information. We also had the opportunity to explain the meaning of the Zhen, Shan, Ren characters to the children, who were very receptive to it. Some people even took flowers to send to their relatives in other countries.

Many people were able to learn the truth through this activity and witness the kind behavior of Dafa practitioners.
