On August 26, ten of the sixteen Falun Gong practitioners who were charged with "obstruction" went to the West District Court in Hong Kong to appeal. They restated that the sixteen practitioners firmly refuse to acknowledge the court's decision, and they demand the court to overturn the wrong verdict and return the fines to whomever paid them.

Iceland Frettabladid (Icelandic newspaper) August 22nd reports: "Falun Gong practitioners in Europe and U.S established a dialogue committee to discuss their historic visit to Iceland this summer. They wrote to the Premier, the Judicial Department Chief and the Foreign Affairs Department Chief, requesting a telephone conference at the end of August in order to discuss related matters. Falun Gong thinks it is the duty of the Icelandic government to explain to the Icelandic people and to the world's citizenry their rejecting entry to Falun Gong practitioners into the Iceland."
Clarify the Truth with Righteous Thoughts and Righteous Actions
Dispel the fog in a brainwashing class with the brilliance of the Truth. In March 2002, vicious police tracked me down from thousands of miles away and arrested me in my relative's home. I didn't acknowledge any of the old force's arrangements. I kept righteous thoughts at all times and upheld Dafa's dignity. I told people the facts whenever the opportunity presented itself. The so-called principal, director and secretary of the brainwashing class, and collaborators [former Falun Gong practitioners who have gone astray due to brainwashing and torture] failed to say anything when confronted with the Truth and Fa principles. Good police officers said to me in private, "We knew you could not be reformed." I stayed in the brainwashing class for nine days and held a hunger strike for six days. In the end I walked out in an upright and dignified manner.

On August 25, 2002, the Chinese state-run media, Xinhua News Agency and CCTV once again used a homicide case that occurred in Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province to frame Falun Gong. During an interview with the criminals, the reporter from the Xinhua News Agency first admitted that Falun Gong forbade killing, then he made the use of the criminals' words to fabricate deceit to wantonly defame Falun Gong. It is really unwise to use this kind of groundless logic to frame any spiritual movement.
Over the past 3 years, the Jiang Zemin regime has been escalating its brutal persecution of those who cultivate Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance. Flood disasters in China have become more and more severe over the past 3 years. The flood in Dongting Lake this year worried people even more. Could these be just coincidence? In the past, ancient Chinese people deeply believed that the authorities' corrupt and cruel ruling caused large-scale natural disasters. Today, the tribulations that people suffer from the flood disasters in China are no doubt due to the corruption of the Jiang Zemin regime, but the deep-seated cause could very well be the regime's persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. How could it be possible for the dictator's offences against Heaven not leave misfortunes to the common people?

After the exposure on the Clearwisdom website of the crimes committed by the wicked police in Fenxi County, Shanxi Province, overseas practitioners made phone calls to them to clarify the truth. However, the police did not repent. Instead they further intensified the persecution and illegally arrested practitioners from all over the place. One practitioner who lived in a rural area, along with her son-in-law and two-year-old grandson who did not practice Falun Gong, was arrested. Even visitors to her house were not spared. Arrested practitioners were forcefully handcuffed, and signs were hung on them. They were publicly humiliated by being paraded in the streets. Some have been kidnapped to mental hospitals. Others have been kidnapped to other places to be illegally interrogated. At present, more than 30 practitioners have been kidnapped. Nowadays when people see the police van, they say: the bandits are coming again.
Natural and man-made disasters warn human beings
Under Jiang Zemin's control, China suffers disasters and unusual phenomena. An unusual yellow rain fell recently in suburbs of Beijing. The National Capital Times reported on August 20: From 2:00 to 4:00 PM on August 20, about one kilometer north of Haidian Driving School in Beianhe Village, there was a strange kind of rainfall. The rain appeared yellow and looked like thin mud. It also had an unpleasant smell similar to that of ammonia. Ten minutes later, the mud hardened and the smell disappeared. The mud turned into powder upon being gently pinched.
