San Francisco Falun Dafa Practitioners Call on People of the World to Recognize the Nature of "Obstruction Case," and to Condemn Jiang for Undermining Hong Kong's Freedoms (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) At noon, on August 15, 2002, San Francisco Bay Area Falun Gong practitioners held a press conference in front of the Chinese Consulate, protesting Jiang's coercion of the Hong Kong government to bring an unjust verdict against Falun Gong practitioners, and requesting the restoration of the Falun Gong practitioners' reputations. Several news media, including No. 26 TV station in San Francisco, covered the press conference.

We call upon people with a sense of justice and conscience to show concern for Hong Kong's future. We also call upon the Hong Kong people, people who do business with Hong Kong, and all people who are concerned about the future of humanity to recognize the nature of the unjust verdict of the "obstruction case" which proceeded under Jiang's coercion. If we keep silent about Jiang's undermining of Hong Kong's freedom and justice in order to persecute Falun Gong, the ultimate victims will be the entire Hong Kong society and all Hong Kong residents.

In the afternoon, some practitioners also held a peaceful appeal in front of Hong Kong's Liaison Office in San Francisco.

The entire activity lasted from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Many people in automobiles passing by honked their horns to express their support.
