The "610 Office" in Linyi City, Shandong Province, ruthlessly captures Falun Dafa practitioners and sends them to a "law training class" for brainwashing. Such "training classes" have been held five times. All Falun Dafa practitioners within its administration have been captured. The "610 Office" is attempting to brainwash every one.
The heads of the brainwashing class make use of collaborators to inquire about and spy on Falun Dafa practitioners. The collaborators try every possible means to send those who keep practicing Falun Dafa to the brainwashing class. Among the collaborators are Wang Mingguang and Liu Yi, who have even turned in all their relatives and friends in the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners. Many practitioners have consequently become destitute and homeless in order to avoid being illegally arrested at home. The collaborators claim that they are going to "fight desperately" against Falun Dafa practitioners for no pay or reward, when actually the opposite is true.

Around 4:00 p.m. on May 28, 2002, Anqiu Falun Dafa practitioners Xia Xihan and his wife went to see their daughter in the hospital. On the way, a police van stopped in front of them. About five policemen got out of the van and abducted Xia Xihan. His wife ran home.
The police then went to their home and searched it thoroughly. Later on the same day they searched the home again, taking away two copies of Zhuan Falun and other materials. Xia Xihan is currently detained in the Anqiu Detention Center.

[Shandong Province] An Employer is Interrogated And His Home Searched For Hiring a Falun Dafa Practitioner
On the afternoon of April 30, a self-employed business owner in Shandong Province was unexpectedly picked up by plainclothes police and interrogated at the local police station for hiring a Falun Dafa practitioner. (The owner didn't know that he had hired a Falun Dafa practitioner, who then became homeless in order to avoid persecution.) The police insinuated that the practitioner was a murderer. They also threatened the owner, saying, "You have committed the crime of sheltering a criminal. We can sentence you to three years in jail." The police rummaged through all of the owner's rooms. The owner told the police, "Something is wrong. This guy was so honest, kind and diligent when he was working for me. He didn't look like a murderer at all." Later on the owner discovered through other sources that the man he hired is a Falun Dafa practitioner. The police insinuation was obviously false. More and more people know who is telling lies.

On August 8, members of Beijing's "610 Office" came to Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province, for a so-called "inspection," which was in fact a further persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners.

On the afternoon of July 6, 2002, members from the "610 Office" in Pitong Town, Pi County, together with Chen Jiakang, a local officer, broke into a senior lady's home in Group Five, Hongshi Village, Taiping Township, Pi County. They searched the house and confiscated a new VCD and some truth-clarifying CDs. They captured the elderly lady and her second daughter and detained them in the detention center in Pi County. In addition, they told her family members to hand over 200 Yuan to cover detention expenses. Then they instructed the Wannianchang Police Substation in Chengdu City to capture the lady's eldest daughter. To avoid being illegally arrested her eldest daughter had to leave home . The "610 Office" then extorted 50,000 Yuan [equal to 8 years' average income of an ordinary worker in China] from the Wannianchang Police Substation as punishment for failing to capture her.
