In a village of Gansu Province, I met a female Falun Dafa practitioner in her fifties who had experienced many miracles after she started practicing Falun Dafa. Because she had never been to school, she often came to tears, feeling she could not completely express Teacher's great benevolence. She wanted to use her own miraculous experience to tell more kind-hearted people, "Falun Dafa is the best! Teacher is the most benevolent!" She had tried very hard to write; she also tried to tell her story to her son who had a college education and asked him to write them down. But she was not satisfied until one day she met a well-educated Falun Dafa practitioner who eventually fulfilled her wish. The following is what this practitioner wrote based on her oral account.
1. "I was the most miserable person in the world before I practiced Falun Dafa"
I am 52 years old now. Before I practiced Falun Gong in 1998, I had all kinds of life-threatening diseases. I had a rheumatism type of heart problem for 30 years, pulmonary tuberculosis in the lungs, pleurisy, peritonitis, a gastric ulcer, a 10cm gastroptosis, nephritis, and uterus and anus prolapsus. I had edema all over my body and could only take fluids. By 1996, I could only lie in bed all day and relied on injections, medicines and transfusions to stay alive. I took over 70 pills every day, plus Chinese herbs. I would take the medicine in the morning and then throw them up in the afternoon.
During those three years, I had injections every day as well as steel needles in my legs. For a long period of time, I was in so much pain that I could barely breathe or sleep. Since the tuberculosis I had was infectious, even my husband and daughter would not come near me. When my older sister came to visit after not seeing me for a long time, she also kept a distance from me. The loneness in addition to the painful diseases made me feel desperate. One afternoon, I struggled out the door and jumped into the pond in front of my home ...
2. "Dafa gave me new life! I've been the happiest person ever since!"
Who would guess that it was even hard to die? My husband rescued me. Several days later, someone told me that many people had been practicing Falun Gong at my sister's home and that even paralytic people recovered after practice. My husband took me there. My sister was an assistant for the local practice site. Since I was a seriously ill patient, she recommended that I listen to Teacher's lectures first. Seeing other practitioners practicing in the yard, I was very anxious. I watched through the windows and learned. Two days later, my husband took me home. I started practicing as soon as I got home. When I did the Falun Standing Exercises, I immediately felt the Falun rotating rapidly in my abdomen once I did the gestures of Holding the Wheel; once I closed my eyes, I saw the black qi come out of my body. Looking at this scene, I was not afraid at all. Later on, after studying Zhuan Falun, I understood that it was Teacher cleaning up my body. "That is, we have removed the fundamental causes of your illnesses and your poor health. But you still have a field of illness. A person whose Celestial Eye opens at a very low level can see in your body clusters of black qi and turbid pathogenic qi, which is also a condensed cluster of black qi in high density. Once it diffuses, it will spread all over your body." (Zhuan Falun page 89) On the seventh day, miraculous things happened. My hair that had become white due to medicine taken turned black completely. The edema disappeared too. I was able to walk around. My pale face and lips started to gain color. I no longer wanted to take medicine and injections. I became a completely healthy person again. The excitement and gratitude I had in my heart for our Teacher was beyond any expression of words. I could only come to tears. My whole life was so unfortunate yet so fortunate.
3. "Teacher, I shall study Dafa well and follow you to my true self."
My little sister's home is about 4 km from my home. But I was able to walk there to the practice site. The other practitioners were so surprised to see me. Somebody asked me, "Did you dye your hair?" I said, "Dafa is so miraculous! How could I have the desire for doing any hairdressing!" This time my little sister officially taught me the exercises and let me watch the video of Teacher's Lecture in Jinan and the exercise instruction video. At that point, I formally started practicing Falun Gong.
I am illiterate, so I could only listen to the audiotapes of Teacher's lectures. The more I listened, the more I liked to do so. I started to understand the meaning and the truth of life for the first time in my life. I also understood why people had diseases and sufferings and how people could fundamentally solve those issues. Gradually I understood that what Teacher has taught us is all heavenly secrets and they are the precious truth of the universe that nobody else has talked about. I was determined to read all the books by Teacher. So I went over the audiotapes again and again, and then studied the book Zhuan Falun word by word. When I was not able to continue, I was anxious and cried and felt so bad in my heart. I asked my daughter to help, but after a long period of time, they became impatient. I was not discouraged, I asked every educated person I knew. I don't know how many times I was so anxious and cried. Finally the great Teacher saw my determination and he helped me, an illiterate village woman, read through the book Zhuan Falun in one month. The reading went much faster the second time. At the fifth time of reading, I started to see the words in the book turned to green color and the sixth time they turned to yellow. Soon after, I was able to recite "Lunyu". In over two years, I was able to recite Hong Yin and transcribed it once. I also transcribed Teacher's other articles and finished reading all the books by Teacher.
4. "At the sudden moment, I jumped off the running vehicle, grabbed a big 50 Jin (equal to about 45 lbs) stone and stopped the vehicle ... "
One month after I started practicing Falun Gong, my husband drove a three-wheel motor vehicle to get some soil from the foot of a hill. We got a full load of soil and I was sitting on top of it. On the way back, the vehicle was going down a steep hill. Because my husband was not an experienced driver, he mistakenly stepped on the clutch instead of the brakes. The vehicle was accelerating downhill. It was only 500 meters from a busy intersection. If the vehicle failed to stop, the consequences would be terrible. My husband became anxious and pulled the hand brake, but broke it. At that sudden moment, I jumped out of the vehicle, grabbed a big stone of about 25 kilograms (equal to about 45 lbs) and threw it up to the vehicle. The vehicle stopped. Dafa is truly amazing. Jumping out of a vehicle moving at such a fast speed, even if one could stay alive, she would still be dashing forward from the momentum. Not to mention immediately grabbing a big stone and then running forward to throw it up to the moving vehicle. Besides, how could a 50 Jin stone stop a vehicle? I knew it was Teacher who gave us our lives once again and also saved the people's lives downhill. After the vehicle stopped, my husband asked me with surprise, "How could you grab and throw such a big stone?" At that moment, I suddenly enlightened that I was a completely healthy person. Since then, I started to do all kinds of work including farm work.
5. "In my dream, I saw a heavenly girl riding on a phoenix, looking and smiling at me. Then all my organs inside were replaced with new ones."
One night, I had a dream and saw ice in heaven. It gradually turned blue and then the ice cracked and a blue sky was revealed with stars all over. A heavenly girl rode on the back of a phoenix, a shining bird. The girl from heaven looked at me and smiled, and then she flew away. Then I saw that my stomach was opened up, and all my internal organs were taken out and piled up on the ground. I felt all my organs were replaced with new ones. After I woke up, I was very happy. It was Teacher who completely cleansed my body.
6. "Teacher granted me happiness. I shall spread the great Dafa and happiness to more people."
After I practiced Falun Gong, everybody in my family benefited. My husband's high blood pressure was cured. My children all felt very energetic. They all started to practice. From what happened to me, the people in the village saw the goodness of Dafa and they came to practice. My home became a practice site. Every day people came to practice before dawn and then came to read the Fa after supper. Thirty to forty people practiced together; the atmosphere was solemn. Sometimes cars came from nowhere and stopped in front of my home. People came out of the car and joined us to learn the practice and listen to the Fa. In the winter, I lit up the fire. People sat all over the bed and floor to read the Fa and do the exercises. I felt so happy in my heart. The great Teacher gave me everything and I shall help more people to obtain the Fa and help Teacher to achieve His grand wish.
7. "Jiang brutally persecuted Dafa. The Township Party Secretary wrote a pledge guaranteeing that I was able to keep practicing Dafa."
In July 20, 1999, Jiang's political gang started to persecute Dafa and slander our great Teacher. Dafa practitioners were facing an unprecedented evil test. The Township leadership and vicious police from the police substation came to my home many times, trying to force me to give up my Dafa books and tapes. They also asked me to write pledges of giving up practicing Falun Gong. No matter who came to me, I always told them firmly, "I am going to practice for sure. Nobody can stop me. If I were not practicing Falun Gong, I would have died a long time ago. Could any of you give me second life?" Facing my determination, the Township Party Secretary finally gave in and instead wrote me a pledge stating, "Guarantee you will be able to keep practicing."
8. "In the courtyard of the grain administration office, there were over one thousand people. I demonstrated Dafa exercises in front of everybody."
In August 1999, my husband and I went to the township food administration office to hand over the tax grain. An acquaintance asked me, "Do you still practice Falun Gong?" I said, "Surely I do." He said, "Do you dare to practice now? Let's take a look." On that day there were over one thousand people there to hand over the tax grain. I felt very calm and thought of nothing. I just sat down on the cement floor and demonstrated the fifth set of exercise "Strengthening the supernormal capability." As a result, hundreds of people surrounded me to take a look. Some people said, "Falun Gong is really good!" "The broadcasting attacked Falun Gong so bad. How come they practice so good?" I then told people my own story of coming back miraculously from the dying condition. A mother and daughter told me on the spot, "So many of your serious diseases were cured. Today I say you practice so well. We also want to learn." They both followed me to my home. I taught them the practice and give them Zhuan Falun as a present. Since then, they have both become firm Dafa practitioners.
9. "Clarify the truth to people and save people!"
The compassion cultivated from Falun Dafa made me feel that I could no longer put up with the evil Jiang harming people with rumors. I had to go out to expose the evil, clarify the truth and save people. After Teacher's poem The Knowing Heart was published, I showed it to a schoolteacher. I also told him the truth of Falun Dafa. Last April, his wife came to me and asked for the video CD and truth clarification materials to know more of the truth.
In January 2001, I brought the truth-clarifying flyers to the hospital and showed them to the doctors who treated me before. One doctor saw the amazing changes in me and he was convinced of Dafa's greatness. He also started to practice and obtained seven Dafa books.
In March 2001, I went to see my son at college. On the way, the police asked all passengers to get out to be searched, except for me. Because I was very calm with no fear and a strong righteous mind, the police dared not touch me. After I arrived in the city, I spread the Fa to the university professors. A professor heard my story and was moved. He followed me in doing the exercises and studying the Fa. A female head of that department had been abroad many times. After she heard the my amazing story and saw I was so energetic and healthy now, she also learned the practice from me and borrowed the book Zhuan Falun. Since then she has taken advantage of her status to protect Falun Dafa practitioners. She also told me, "There are over 10 people monitoring one practitioner here."
10. "Sending forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil forces that are harming the people."
In May 2001, Teacher told us to send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil forces that persecuted Falun Dafa and practitioners. I felt we should no longer allow the evil persecute Dafa and practitioners and thus destroy all beings. So I started to send forth righteous thoughts every day to eliminate the evil forces that controlled vicious people to do bad things and to eliminate the head of the evil forces. I make use of all the spare time I have to send forth righteous thoughts in all kinds of environments including while walking and taking buses.
