(Clearwisdom.net) For all beings in other dimensions, during the current Fa-rectification period the human shell on earth is indeed very precious. The evil forces use every means possible to put on and protect Jiang's human shell so that they can use him to damage Dafa. The body of a Dafa disciple in the human world is even more precious beyond description. We had been waiting for this human body for thousands of years. Initially for the sake of all beings in the cosmos, we braved this world of mortals. In the ensuing generations of reincarnation, we suffered countless hardships and obtained these bodies with Teacher's protective care. During the period of Fa-rectification, this human body can be used in "Assisting Teacher in his journey in this world" (Hong Yin), to establish a rock-solid foundation for Dafa in the human world, to validate the Fa, to clarify the truth, to offer people salvation, to consummate our own worlds, to save the countless beings in our worlds, and so on. The Fa says to let go of life and death. That is referring to a realm. The everyday people's expression, "I do not care about my life any more" or "I no longer want to live," is a foolhardy mentality.
I recall reading an article by an everyday person that talked about a young mother who had been contemplating suicide before she had children as she felt life was too tough. After she had a child, she said, "I no longer want to die. The child is so helpless; it needs me so much. How can I only think of myself and die, leaving the child alone?" As Fa-rectification period Dafa disciples, we are here in the human world not for our individual cultivation or for personal Consummation, but to save sentient beings during Teacher's Fa-rectification. Think about the innumerable beings who have been poisoned by the lies and waiting for us to save them, hoping that we would make good use of this human body of ours to do well in Fa study and to let go of all attachments, so that they can return to their righteous positions. Do we realize the preciousness of our human bodies and cherish them?
The evil forces have racked their brains attempting to "physically eliminate" us. In fact, from the standpoint of completely opposing the arrangements by the old forces, Dafa disciples should not be persecuted to death at all. If we fall into the evil force's arrangements, isn't it because we have omissions? Such thoughts as, "I can sacrifice everything for Dafa. If you want my life, go ahead and take it!" or "I would die here on the spot if you do this or that" -- could it be that behind this kind of talk or behavior there lies the subconscious desire to die, and that this attachment is being utilized by the old forces? Why does it seem that during cultivation, there exists a mentality to view death as a heroic homecoming? This isn't something that belongs to Dafa, is it? Think about it, isn't there an element of egotistic heroism mixed in with the human competitive mentality? Isn't this a manifestation of the influence of sentimentality and selfishness? Such degenerated thoughts that do not value or even belittle life are also a part of the elaborate arrangement by the old forces. Amidst the persecution, Dafa disciples would then be unable to cherish their own lives as required by Fa-rectification and might interpret "letting go of life and death" with human mentality. In this way, the old forces could physically eliminate us one by one.
Letting go of life with selflessness and forsaking all attachments, assisting Teacher to rectify the Fa and save sentient beings are what the Fa requires of us. It is also a realm that Fa-rectification disciples need to reach. The attachment of pursuit or showing off that "I will let go of life and death" indicates that one still has not transcended the concept of "me" and still focuses on selfishness. This could then be taken advantage of by the old forces to intensify the persecution against Dafa and Dafa disciples.
When we think about the innumerable beings waiting for us to save them, the Dafa disciples' validating the Fa and clarifying the truth are acts that come from deep within the heart naturally and unforced. The persecution of Dafa disciples by the old forces is not persecution of humans by humans. By persecuting Dafa disciples, they attain their ultimate objective of persecuting all beings, Dafa and Teacher. Therefore, we must be clear and not allow them to damage even one hair. In fact, Gods have boundless wisdom. Persecuting Gods is akin to lifting a rock and smashing one's own foot. Remember the story about monk Jigong shown on TV, in which a county magistrate ordered the arrest and corporal punishment of Jigong. Although the plank fell on Jigong's buttocks, it was the presiding county magistrate's buttocks that felt the pain. Jigong, a practitioner in the tradition of individual cultivation could accomplish this. Today as disciples of the Lord of Buddhas and cultivating the cosmos' Dafa, how can we let the evil persecute us, and in turn persecute Dafa and all beings at will?
We must avoid using the human mindset to interpret the concepts of "letting go of life and death" and "cherishing the human body," and be clear about the proper relationship. For Dafa disciples in the human world, the human body is to be used to assist Teacher to rectify the Fa and save all sentient beings, rather than allowing the evil to persecute us. While sending forth righteous thoughts, we must not harbor any doubt but eliminate the evil with determination and compassion for the sake Dafa and all sentient beings.
