Li, a high school senior, will be taking the college entrance examinations this July. She often hands out truth clarifying materials and CDs to students around her, and her fellow students gradually began to understand the truth about the persecution of Falun Dafa. Li's grades are outstanding, and she gets along well with her classmates. One day Li learned that the political science teacher was going to give a lecture slandering Dafa in class next day and decided to safeguard the Fa in the classroom. After getting home, she told her parents (also Dafa practitioners) about her intention. Her mother was very supportive of her idea. Her father however, felt that she should wait until after class before she talk to the teacher in private, as that would "conform more to the norm of everyday people." Li said: "If I just sit there and listen to him slandering Dafa, am not I then just an everyday person?"
In the class next day, the political science teacher started out saying: "Today, we will talk about Falun Gong." Li then stood up and said: "Teacher, I have something to say." At first, the teacher was taken aback. Then he realized what Li would say because she had attempted to clarify the truth to him before. The teacher raised his voice and told her: "You sit down!" Li solemnly said: "I cannot sit down as I have something important to say." After a brief stalemate, the teacher gave in and let her speak. Li began by saying: "Fellow students, when you hear that Falun Gong is bad, do you only want to hear it from one side? If someone says Falun Gong is bad, and we then also say it's bad, where is our 'sense of self?' If you truly want to find out if Falun Gong is good or not, then why don't you read Falun Gong books, get in touch with Falun Gong practitioners, and see what kind of people they are. I have read all the Falun Gong books. You all know that I am a Falun Gong practitioner. Falun Gong teaches people to be a good person according to the principle of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance; what is wrong with that?" At that moment, there was stillness in the air, all the eyes in the classroom were staring at Li without as much as a blink. She continued: "If the teacher insists on saying what he wants to say, I will boycott the class in protest." Li then walked out of the classroom without hesitation. Then, another Dafa practitioner in the class, Zheng stood up: "I completely agree with what she said. If the teacher wants to talk, I will also boycott the class." She also walked out of the classroom.
The political science teacher was so mad that he was shaking all over. After a few minutes of whispering among the students in the class, a student wrote a note and handed it to the teacher: "Teacher, you must agree that what has happened will not get out of this classroom." (This student was the son of a high-ranking government official, and his words carried considerable weight.) At the same time, the class leader stood up and said: "Teacher, could I please have a word with you outside." They went out to the hallway. The class leader also asked the teacher not to let what happened get out. (If the story of the two girls actions were to get out, the two students would have been summarily expelled from school, losing their chances to qualify for the college entrance examination.) The political science teacher returned to the classroom and said: "I shall severely reprimand those two; however, what happened today must not leave the classroom! We will not have class today. Please read the books by yourselves." Then he left the room.
The two young practitioners safeguarded the Fa with pure righteous thoughts. No harm has come to them thus far.
