(Clearwisdom.net) On June 16, the Mid-Western U.S. Fa Conference began at 9 a.m. in the Conference Hall at the Navy Pier in Chicago. On the podium, our revered Teacher's portrait was hung in the center, and on both sides of it were two banners imprinted with two of Teacher's poems. The border of the podium was decorated with beautiful lotus flowers especially made for the conference. Falun emblems and various Dafa banners were hung on the side walls of the conference hall. The conference hall was very sacred and solemn.

Twenty Falun Dafa practitioners from Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Minnesota gave speeches. Among them, the youngest practitioner was only 10 years old. Here practitioners gathered together to share with each other their experiences in studying the Fa, cultivating in the Fa-rectification period, clarifying the truth and sending forth righteous thoughts. Some practitioners talked about how they improved their xinxing (mind nature) during the process of clarifying the truth about Dafa to the precious Chinese people. Some shared their experiences in safeguarding Dafa in China. Some spoke about their experiences in spreading Dafa and clarifying the truth in the U.S. as well as their righteous thoughts and righteous actions in Russia. Some delivered a group report, which showed the holistic improvement as a group and Dafa practitioners' righteous belief and righteous enlightenment in Dafa.
In the morning, Teacher's congratulatory letter and the poem written for the conference were read. We repeatedly studied Teacher's new articles at the conference. During the intervals between speeches, we diligently sent forth righteous thoughts together.
At noon, practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises to the tourists on the meadow outside the Navy Pier. Many passersby stopped to watch and requested more information.
Young practitioners recited Teacher's articles and gave performances.
Over that day in Chicago, the sky was clear and the sun shone brightly and beautifully. Many tourists came to visit the Navy Pier. During the conference and the exercise demonstration at noon, many tourists stopped to look at the conference hall from the outside. Some even came into the hall to ask for detailed information. Practitioners thus used these opportunities to clarify the truth to them. Tourists all expressed their thanks to practitioners. The sentient beings need Dafa and Falun Dafa has already gradually entered the human world.
The conference successfully concluded after again reading Teacher's congratulatory letter and the poem written for the conference.
