On June 10, 1999, the Chinese Central Committee set up the "610 Office" [a bureau specifically created by the Chinese government to persecute Falun Gong. It has absolute power over each level of administration in the Party, as well as over the political and judiciary branches]. Since then, they have begun the systematic and thorough persecution of Falun Gong and Falun Gong practitioners with physical violence and mental torture aimed at eradicating them. During the past three years, the "610 Office" has become the highest organ of state authority through which Jiang subjects the Chinese people to state-sanctioned terrorism.
The 13 Falun Gong practitioners who were recently illegally sentenced by the Hexi District Court in Tianjin City collectively declare: We do not fear any hardship, but we will by no means tolerate the persecution of Dafa. We appeal because we are innocent, but your persecution of Dafa will bring endless regret.
