(Clearwisdom.net) On May 12, 2002, Falun Dafa practitioners from
different areas of Switzerland joyfully gathered in Basel, the industrial center
of the north. We gathered to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Falun
Dafa's public introduction and World Falun Dafa Day.
In the morning, practitioners arrived at the park and hung banners over the lawn. The banners read "Greetings, Teacher!" "Celebrating the 10th anniversary of Falun Dafa's public introduction" and "World Falun Dafa Day." On the sidewalk, close to the lawn, Falun Dafa poster display boards were set up and Dafa literature was displayed on the table. Colorful balloons imprinted with "Falun Dafa," and "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" floated in the air. The atmosphere was harmonious and lively.
As it was Sunday and Mother's Day, there were many visitors. In the beautiful sunshine, practitioners lined up on the lawn to practice the exercises. Delightful music and elegant movements immediately attracted many visitors. One practitioner visited with them and introduced them to the spreading and development of Falun Gong. He also told them about the brutal persecution being conducted by Jiang's regime, and the visitors expressed their understanding. Many showed interest and wanted to know more about Falun Gong, and some wanted to learn the exercises on the spot. Many visitors watched the display boards, talked to the practitioners and asked for Dafa literature and truth-clarifying VCDs. One Chinese man carefully looked at the display boards and said to the practitioners, "Such a good cultivation practice. Jiang Zemin so brutally suppresses it. It's really unreasonable!"
At 4:00 p.m., practitioners gathered in front of the banner stating "Greetings Teacher!" We shouted in unison from the depth of our hearts, "Greetings Teacher!" We then sang the song "Falun Dafa is good." The day's celebration concluded in warm applause.
