Proclamation of "Falun Dafa Month Honoring Truth-Compassion-Forbearance"by Mayor of City of Duncan, BC

WHEREAS, Falun Dafa promotes the cultivation of body, mind, and spirit through gentle exercise, and has inspired and benefited millions of people since it was brought to the public in 1992; and

WHEREAS, Falun Dafa practitioners are joyously celebrating the 10^th anniversary of Falun Dafa's introduction to the public on May 13, 2002, with festivals and events to be held across Canada and worldwide; and

WHEREAS, Falun Dafa practitioners incorporate the principle of Truthfulness, Benevolence, and Forbearance into their daily lives, and strive to become better people in all environments; and

WHEREAS, Falun Dafa bridges the gap between different races and cultures and embraces people of all ages, from all walks of life and religious affiliations; and

WHEREAS, Falun Dafa practitioners' commitment to the peaceful resolution of all conflicts and their volunteer efforts to encourage all people to enjoy a healthy and peaceful life have reminded us of the value of human virtues, and have made this world a more peaceful place to live in;

NOW THEREFORE, I Mayor Michael Coleman, proclaim May 2002 "Falun Dafa Month" in the city of Duncan.
