(Clearwisdom.net) On April 28, the day after the Boston Falun Dafa Experience Sharing Conference, the temperature dropped dramatically and it was raining and the wind was blowing hard. Dafa practitioners from all over the world held a press conference and paraded from downtown Boston to Chinatown. The purpose of the activities was to let more people know about the persecution encountered by Falun Gong practitioners, to expose the evil, to clarify the truth about Falun Gong and to offer salvation to sentient beings.
At 9:00 a.m., practitioners came to Boston Park in the downtown area to practice the exercises and send forth righteous thoughts. What was especially touching was that many practitioners from other places did not bring any rain gear, but neither wind nor rain could restrain their compassion towards the sentient beings.
At 11:00 a.m., the press conference formally began. A practitioner from Canada briefly introduced his experiences of 18 months imprisonment for simply appealing for Falun Gong in China. His experiences demonstrated that truth cannot be overcome. As a plaintiff in the lawsuit against the Jiang regime, an American Falun Gong practitioner used facts to expose Jiang's extension of his state-terrorism overseas. The illegal acts performed in the United States include harassing, threatening and even beating Falun Gong practitioners. In the press conference, a Falun Gong practitioner read a support letter from Massachusetts Congressman Stephen Lynch.
TV station Channel 56, the Boston Globe, World Daily and AP came to interview practitioners.
After the press conference, accompanied by the music of "Pudu," and led by police cruisers, the parade started from the Post Office Square. The long procession passed through the downtown area and almost encircled Chinatown. Rain soaked the practitioners' clothing. The female practitioners walking in front who dressed in white and held wreaths in their hands were especially solemn. Without any protection from the rain, they were deeply esteemed. Some people came out of the nearby stores to take Falun Gong flyers and ask questions. Some simply read the truth-clarification materials in the rain. A passer-by saluted toward the parade with both palms pressed together (heshi). Almost all Chinese people that we met accepted the truth-clarification materials. The police were very cooperative. They helped move the procession and prevent the congestion of traffic.
