FALUN DAFA WEEK IN ROXBURY

Township of Roxburg, N.J.
WHEREAS, Falun Dafa (also called Falun Gong) is an advanced practice system to improve mind and body based on the universal qualities of "Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance", with its benefits ranging from improved health and newfound energy to mental clarity, stress relief, and peace of mind; and
WHEREAS, under the guidance of its founder, Li Hongzhi, the practice of Falun Dafa has helped people worldwide to improve their health, purify their minds, and deepen their understanding of life and humanity, and has been instrumental in helping many people to pursue more meaningful lives by turning away from alcohol, drugs, violence and other bad habits; and
WHEREAS, since Falun Dafa's introduction to the public in 1992, the number of practitioners, who can be found in every walk of life, has grown to 100 million in over 50 countries in Asia, Africa, Australia, Europe and America, and since its first introduction to New Jersey in 1996, many practice sites have been set up in public libraries, schools, companies, community centers, senior centers, bookstores, universities, and parks; and
WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper for the Township of Roxbury to acknowledge the occurrence of Falun Dafa Week, and to salute its practitioners as individuals of character, concern, and ability;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Council of the Township of Roxbury, in the County of Morris, and State of New Jersey, do hereby proclaim the week of April 7th thru April 13th, 2002 to be
FALUN DAFA WEEK IN ROXBURY
and we extend to all our best wishes for continued success in the future.
