According to the Falun Dafa Information Center, on April 11, Amnesty International issued an urgent action statement again: "Urgent rescue Falun Gong practitioners in Changchun." The statement calls for people to apply every effective means to stop the brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners there as soon as possible.

(Apple Daily, April 14) Andrew Ellsmore, a 21 year-old Falun Gong practitioner from the U.S. unfurled a banner on which was written "Falun Dafa is good!" in Tiananmen Square on April 13. He shouted in Chinese, "Falun Dafa is good!". Immediately two military policemen seized his banner and took him away.
(Southern China Morning Press, Hong Kong, April 13) About 150 Falun Gong practitioners held a candle light vigil at the Central Charter Garden on the evening of April 12. They strongly requested that Jiang regime stop persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. In Changchun city, the Jiang regime's persecution has caused 5000 practitioners to be arrested since March 5th of this year and there have been 100 deaths due to torture.

Today 154 practitioners made solemn declarations that what they have said and done that are not consistent with Dafa standards under the vicious force's brainwashing and the high-pressure persecution are null and void. From now on they will make up the losses they caused by redoubling their efforts in clarifying the truth about Falun Gong to people and following Teacher in the Fa-Rectification process.
A woman from countryside of Miyi County, Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province, has been to Beijing twice to appeal for Falun Gong. She was arrested and fined as a consequence. At a brainwashing class held by her town government, she was beaten so severely by the thugs there that her body became blue and black. She also suffered other physical punishment and mistreatment. In the detention center, the vicious police use a splintered bamboo stick to whip practitioners who refused to recite the prison rules. The police also punish the practitioners by forcefully pushing their heads against the wall. The practitioners are beaten so badly that their bodies are left full of wounds and injuries.
