(Clearwisdom.net) I am a 67-year-old practitioner from Gansu Province. On December 15, 2000 I went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. I was seized in Tiananmen Square. At the time, two vicious policemen pushed me roughly to the ground by twisting my arms behind my back and forcing me down face first. As I lay there, they proceeded to step on my back. The pain was excruciating, as I lost my breath and could not speak a word. A moment later, they pulled me up from the ground, and I thought, "If I still have one breath left, I will clarify the truth to people." So I cried out with all my strength, "Falun Dafa is good! Teacher and Dafa are innocent!" I was then illegally detained in the Tiananmen Police Station and locked up behind bars.
At 2 p.m., I was sent to Yanshan Detention Center, Ying Feng Police Station. Policeman Liang interrogated me for my home address, name and work unit. I refused to say. Later, policeman Wang Junfeng also interrogated me, and I still did not cooperate. They searched me and found 10 Yuan and 10 cents. (Yuan, Chinese currency, the monthly salary of an averaged worker in cities of China is about 500 Yuan). They saw that I had no money and became utterly disgusted. They began swearing and beating me. They slapped my face, smacked my ears, kicked me all over and then handcuffed my hands behind my back. I did not shed any tears in front of these wicked police. The more they beat me, the firmer my belief to Buddha Fa became. In my mind, I would not let down my Teacher, who has endured so much for the sake of our salvation. How would a dignified, powerful Dafa practitioner lower his head to these vicious beings? They tortured me until 2 a.m. before returning me to the detention center. Because the thugs had hit me with such force, my internal organs had been damaged. I vomited blood for a week and could not get up from bed. Other practitioners helped in any way that they could. Fortunately, I kept up with the exercises and soon no longer vomited blood.
After these things occurred, I was illegally detained in Beijing for 20 days and went on a hunger strike for 17 days.
On December 24, I was transferred to Baodi County Detention Center, Tianjin Province, where I was illegally detained for 9 days. In the first two days of interrogation, I did not answer any questions from the vicious police. On the third day, they summoned two thugs to beat me up. I asked one of the policemen, "Do you have parents and siblings? Would you hit your mother if she also practiced Falun Gong? All I have done is practice Falun Gong, and you've treated me this way. Don't you know the principle of retribution for good and evil?"
In the same prison cell, there was a 40-year-old practitioner from Xinjiang Province who suffered the "splitting the body with five horses" torture [pulling all four limbs and the head forcefully in different directions] and shocked by electric batons at the same time. They only stopped torturing him when the batteries ran out. This practitioner could not move when he was sent back to the prison after the torture. He needed help from other practitioners even to pull up his pants. The room opposite to our prison cell was full of torture instruments. Most of the young practitioners were being beaten there.
This is my true experience.
