Violence at the Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp in Beijing: In the third team, some people who have betrayed Dafa became the police's helpers. They beat and torture determined Dafa practitioners savagely. The means they use include pouring cold water on the practitioners and cramming practitioners under the bed. A veteran practitioner, Wu Jun, was once tortured to the verge of mental collapse. When a practitioner was forced under the bed, his spine was badly damaged, and he became completely paralyzed. The police actively encouraged these actions. Da'an City police in Jilin Province illegally rounded up, arrested, detained and tortured practitioners. They sent practitioners to labor camps without any legal procedure and ransacked practitioners' homes without warrants. Yang Shulan, an elderly lady living in Jinhua Street, was arrested and tortured for posting Dafa banners. Her home was also ransacked. On February 23, Dafa practitioners Wang Xiachan, Sun Yuzhen, Qiu Jingyi, Wu Xianjun and others, who were illegally detained in a brainwashing class held at Dongfeng Automobile Company in Shiyan City, Hubei Province, were tortured by vicious police officer Sun Yanming and others. They beat and kicked the practitioners, hung them up by their handcuffs and hit their heads against the wall, doing everything possible to hurt them. Because the police are afraid of their brutality leaking out, they have prohibited the family members from visiting.
Practitioner Jia Yongfa in Hebei City, Heilongjiang Province was brutally tortured for almost two years in Xigemu Forced Labor Camp in Jiamusi City and the Hebei City Police Department. He passed away on November 29, 2001. Right now, his two sisters are still being detained at Hebei City Police Department, where they have been held for the last 15 months.
Practitioners' Experiences
It's a good idea to clarify the truth by reading from a prepared statement when making calls to China. Most people would pay attention, and sometimes a single phone call could completely change a person's attitude.
On my way home: In June of 2001, because I went out to hang up Falun Dafa banners, I was arrested and sent to a police station, where I was interrogated for 14 hours. During the interrogation, I kept sending forth righteous thoughts. Later that night, all the police there fell asleep, and I walked out of the police station easily. Later, I was being chased and met 3 plainclothes policemen at an intersection. I sent forth righteous thoughts and confidently walked past them. Although I cannot go back to my everyday person's home, I'm now much closer to my real home. I'm doing what a Dafa disciple is supposed to do on his way home.
Encouraging People to do Good
A clerk with sense of justice spoke to the secretary of the politics and law committee sternly with the force of justice behind him: "Please don't send police to harass Falun Gong practitioners' families. I am taking care of my people. I'll be fully responsible for all her (a practitioner) problems." The secretary was overwhelmed and said, "We won't harass her any more, we won't."
Falun Dafa truth-clarification banners can often be found on trees in a northeastern Chinese city. A residential office ordered a director of the neighborhood committee to remove a certain Dafa banner from a tree, but the director did not listen. The residential office then applied additional pressure to remove it. The director the told the local policeman who is in charge of the neighborhood about the banner. The policeman said, "The banner is so high that I cannot reach it. Let it hang there!"
A letter from a Dafa practitioner to his manager: I was accused of "trespassing into people's homes and stealing people's property," while in reality I was eating dinner at my home. Nearly two years of illegal imprisonment made me see even clearer the true nature of this evil persecution. Imprisoning good people is trampling over human nature. What has happened to this land that I cherish?
Overseas News Summary
Australian practitioner Shuying: the Chinese Consulate rescinded my visa because I practice Falun Gong. They can deprive me of my right to go home, but they cannot change my heart to pursue truth and benevolence. It was Zhuan Falun that completely changed me, helped me to get rid of illnesses that had troubled me for years and allowed me to understand the true meaning existence.

Apple News reported on March 16 that the police accused 16 Falun Gong practitioners from Hong Kong and Switzerland of blocking traffic and prosecuted them for this as a criminal offense, which was unprecedented. Swiss practitioner Erich Bachmann insisted that nobody blocked traffic when they sat in front of the Chinese Liaison Office on a hunger strike that day. He called this an act of political persecution and was highly disappointed with the Hong Kong police.
