The Sunday Times (Ireland): Student expelled by China is home

An Irish student who supports the Falun Gong [spiritual] movement arrived back in Dublin last night after being deported back from China.

Beijing police arrested Ger O'Connor when he carried a pro-Falun Gong banner in the city's Tiananmen Square after he had travelled to China to support Falun Gong practitioners.

He claimed he was beaten by police and held in a cell with blood on the wall.
