Trust Dafa and Trust Our Teacher

I Joyfully obtaining the Fa

To be honest, when I started to learn the Dafa, I was half believing and half doubting. This is because before I came to the United States in 1993, I had an atheist education growing up in mainland China. What they taught us was 'human beings can conquer nature.' And I didn't know anything about Buddhas, Daos and Gods -- not to mention about believing in any of those Qigong and cultivation things.

However, from July 6^th to July13^th of 1997, I had the fortune of attending activities introducing Dafa in Oakland. In the meeting, we watched videotapes of Teacher's Fa-lectures in Jinan. I was just like a primary school pupil who had just started school -- I watched videos curiously - everything was so new to me. It was very profound and wonderful.

In the book Zhuan Falun, Teacher told us: "While I am teaching Falun Dafa, we install it for everyone in succession. Some people can feel it while others cannot; the majority of people can feel it." I couldn't imagine how one would install a Falun. However, I felt it on the third night while we were half way through watching the lecture. My lower abdomen started to spin with a very strong force! I was so excited and shouted out right away: "Teacher is installing a Falun for me, I have a Falun now." It is so intricate and supernormal. From then on, I no longer had any doubts about Dafa.

I started to learn the Fa very earnestly. Soon, I could recite the "Lunyu." I recite the "Lunyu" everyday the first thing in the morning and before bedtime. I also recite it when I'm walking and doing chores. Now I also send forth righteous thoughts.

Teacher told us: " 'The Buddha Fa' is most profound; among all the theories in the world, it is the most intricate and extraordinary science. In order to explore this domain, humankind must fundamentally change its conventional thinking. Otherwise, the truth of the universe will forever remain a mystery to humankind, and everyday people will forever crawl within the boundary delimited by their own ignorance." ('Lunyu')

Master's teaching is like a shining light that made me see everything clearly. I truly stepped onto the bright path of Falun Dafa cultivation.

Teacher also taught us in Zhuan Falun: "As a practitioner, your path of life will be changed from now on. My fashen will rearrange it for you. How is it rearranged? How many years does a person still have in life? One will not know it oneself. Some people may get a serious illness after a year or half a year, or they may be ill for several years. Some people may suffer cerebral thrombosis or other illnesses, and cannot move at all. How can you practice cultivation for the rest of your life? We must fix all of them for you and prevent these things from occurring." In the first three months of my cultivation, in order to let me cultivate toward higher levels, our great benevolent Teacher sent out countless Falun to adjust my body. Every time when I was doing the exercise, I felt many Falun spinning around at my fingers, my tongue, face, neck, shoulders, arms and knees.

In Zhuan Falun, Teacher said: " There is a transition at the lowest level of cultivation practice, and this is to purify your body completely. All of the bad things on your mind, the karmic field surrounding your body, and the elements that make your body unhealthy will be cleaned out. If they are not cleaned out, how can you, with such an impure, dark body and a filthy mind, practice cultivation toward a higher level?" Teacher has suffered so much for me. He cleaned out my karma and changed me into a healthy Dafa cultivator.

II. I have witnessed Dafa's mighty power and miracles:

1. My best testimony is the changes that I obtained both physically and spiritually.

   Before I started cultivating, I had many chronic diseases such as hyperplasia of cervical vertebra, headaches, dizziness, infections in my shoulders, weakness in my knees--and I couldn't do without eyedrops. Three months after I began cultivating in Falun Dafa, all these diseases were gone. My body was light and my fiery temperament was gone, too. I credit all these miracles to the mighty power of Falun Dafa.

2. Early this year, I bought 50 stamps to mail truth-clarifying materials to Mainland China. Every day I sent out several letters. One day, I noticed that I had only 7 stamps left. But, on the next day, something amazing happened: I had 50 stamps again. This happened twice. I realized that Teacher wanted me to do more to clarify the truth to Mainland Chinese people and to save them.
3. Last year, because I joined the SOS Walk, I missed my naturalization test. Then I was notified by the Immigration Department to send them the reason why I missed the test within a month; otherwise I would lose my qualification for citizenship.

I told my daughter to write a letter telling them that I was a Falun Gong practitioner. I joined the SOS walk from Seattle to San Francisco, so I missed the test.

Everyone knows that the Immigration Department is usually very slow with their correspondence. But this time, they wrote back to me straight away and set up another test date for me. They only gave me one week to get prepared.

The night before the test, I had a dream. In the dream, I went to take the test, but I forgot to take my ID and passport with me. Just when I was worrying, a Dafa practitioner appeared and drove me back home to get my ID and passport. When I returned to the Immigration Department, they were just calling my name. After I woke up from the dream, I realized that Teacher was going to help me. So, I told my daughter: I can pass the test for sure.

On the day of the test, I did quite well with both oral and written tests. I realized that obtaining United States' citizenship makes it easier for me to go to other countries to clarify the truth, clear out the evil elements in other dimensions, and save sentient beings.

III. European trip of Fa-rectification

Upon hearing that the head of the evil wanted to visit six countries in Europe, I considered going there to rectify the Fa, too. However, a lot of ordinary human thinking surfaced, too. I was so old; it was so far away; I didn't have an income to pay for the flight, the ticket was so expensive, and would it make my daughter feel unhappy?

Then, I recalled Teacher's poem:

"Predestined relationships spanning endless lifetimes

Each connected by the thread of Dafa

Through hardships the body of gold is tempered

Why such slow and leisurely steps?" ('The Difficult Path to Godhood')

All of a sudden, I realized that I should treasure the predestined relationships that could have been formed during the past tens of thousands of lifetimes. In order to help more people obtain Dafa, I must step forward. Only through hardships can the body of gold be tempered. I should be determined enough to go to Europe with dignity, send forth righteous thoughts in close proximity, purge the evil elements in other dimensions behind the persecution, clarify the truth and save sentient beings.

Besides, I realized that my U.S. passport was arranged by Teacher for the purpose of letting me go abroad to rectify the Fa at critical times. So, I bought the ticket and started the European trip.

Our first stop was St. Petersburg, Russia. During the three days that the head of the evil was there, despite the fatigue from the long trip, our Dafa practitioners sent forth righteous thoughts at the top of every hour, around the clock. In order to send forth righteous thoughts in close proximity, many practitioners even spent lots of money to rent a luxury hotel room where the head of the evil stayed. Some of the practitioners went to a nearby school auditorium or classroom to send forth righteous thoughts together. Teacher has seen the hearts of the practitioners. Teacher said:

"A Great Enlightened Being does not fear hardship

Having forged an adamantine will

And with no attachment to living or dying

He walks his path of Fa-rectification openly and nobly" ("Righteous Thoughts and Righteous Actions")

On June 12th, some of our Dafa practitioners carried truth-clarifying materials in our hands and passed them out to people along the road. After a while, some policemen stopped us and did not allow us to pass out the Dafa materials to people. So we decided to go to a park to practice the exercises. However, we didn't go far before some policemen stopped us again. They wanted to confiscate our Dafa materials, but we didn't let them. Then we were taken into a police car. When we arrived at the local police station, the police officer inspected our passports and insisted on confiscating the Dafa materials. We still did not let them. Because these Dafa materials were intended to let more Russian people to know the Dafa, they were very precious. Later, the police officer wanted us to pay a fine. We did not agree to this, either. If we agreed to pay the fine, that would mean that we admitted that we were wrong. In fact, we were doing the right thing to let people know the truth; we had not done anything wrong.

The police officer didn't know how to deal with us. Then they sent us to a courthouse. I was the first one to be questioned among the more than ten practitioners. However, I was not scared. Through an interpreter, I told the judge that after the policemen stopped us from passing out the Dafa materials to people, we didn't do it anymore. I also told him how I had benefited after I practiced Dafa. We wanted other people to get the benefits from Dafa, too, so these materials were very precious. I also told them about how the Jiang regime persecutes practitioners of Dafa, and that I wanted to bring attention to these atrocities.

After the questioning, the judge realized the preciousness of the Dafa materials, too. On the spot, all of Dafa materials were returned to us and we didn't have to pay any fines. Afterwards, I handed some Dafa materials to the judge, the court clerk and the interpreter. They were very happy to receive them and thanked me.

During those days, we passed out Dafa materials to people in Russia, and many people benefited from receiving them. When we practiced the exercises in parks, people around us came over to learn them. I could feel the Russian people's purity and their earnestness towards the Dafa. Dafa practitioners spread "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance" wherever they go, and we do not allow the evil forces to poison people.

Fellow practitioners, let us trust Dafa, trust our Teacher, treasure this opportunity, be worthy of doing Fa-rectification and saving sentient beings. We must try hard and we must do well.
