(Clearwisdom.net) During the three years of the evil force's persecution of Falun Dafa, in addition to the relentless acts inside China that have been ruining countless innocent lives, the evil has made every effort to carry out the persecution overseas. The Jiang regime has not hesitated to persecute overseas Dafa practitioners by hiring thugs and hoodlums to threaten and intimidate Dafa practitioners, denying practitioners' passport extension applications, threatening overseas practitioners' relatives and family members in China, attacking practitioners' e-mail boxes, and so on. They have even resorted to the use of diplomatic pressure through economic and trade relations to force democratic countries to obstruct Dafa practitioners' peaceful protests. And now, with its most recent attempt to enact Article 23 of the Basic Law of Hong Kong, it is clear that the evil wants to legalize the persecution of Hong Kong's Falun Gong practitioners.
This tactic is even more insidious than the Chinese government's previous methods of persecuting first and enacting the law later in China. It is being done subtly, so it could confuse and deceive people very easily. The evil force is trying to first to legalize the persecution of Falun Gong in Hong Kong and then use that as a basis to further extend the persecution overseas.
It is the requirement of the Fa-rectification in the present time to maintain the righteous thought of one body
Dafa practitioners in the world joining together to act as one body during the Fa-rectification resembles, in fact, the universe's tempering and regeneration process. Correspondingly, the state that Dafa disciples should have at this stage is to form one body, that is, the holistic improvement of the group and the righteous thoughts of all Dafa practitioners coming together as one body. This is Dafa's inevitable requirement on all of the Fa-rectification period disciples at this stage.
The evil force -- however frenzied it is -- cannot slow down the pace of Fa-rectification. But the evil force's persecution of Dafa can ruin a staggeringly large number of innocent lives. Teacher rectifies the Fa for the salvation of all sentient beings. Therefore, Dafa disciples' eliminating the evil elements in other dimensions with their righteous thoughts is a requirement of Fa-rectification, as is the benevolence toward and cherishing of the sentient beings in the universe. The firm and unshakeable righteous thoughts that Dafa disciples have cultivated will certainly be able to break the destructive arrangement of the old cosmic forces. The righteous thought of all Dafa disciples as one body is an even higher requirement that the current Fa-rectification torrent has for all Dafa practitioners around the world. Only by continuing to upgrade xinxing (heart nature) can Dafa practitioners break through the limit of the notion of "self" and understand from the principles of the Fa the importance of maintaining the righteous thoughts of one body. In this way, the mighty righteous thoughts of all Dafa practitioners as one body will be able to break the evil force's attempt to extend the persecution to Hong Kong and overseas.
Clarifying the truth to overseas governments and media
Along with emphasizing the righteous thought of one body, Dafa disciples must also pay attention to the work of clarifying the truth to overseas governments and media, because this is the Fa-rectification process's requirement in the human dimension. "Being outside China, it is of utmost importance to clarify the truth to the precious Chinese people living inside and outside of China. At the same time, do not let up in clarifying the truth to each country's every level of government and media, because the government's attitude is very important for the future of that country's people." Various dimensions in the universe correspond to each other. The function of righteous thoughts manifests in deep dimensions. Therefore, we should keep exposing to overseas governments and media the sinister intention of the evil force's attempt to enact Article 23 of the Basic Law of Hong Kong. We should cooperate with Hong Kong Dafa practitioners in exposing the evil and making the people of Hong Kong aware that this legislation the evil force is trying to enact is closely related to the vested interests of every Hong Kong citizen. We should form a powerful, righteous field to resist the evil force's infiltration into Hong Kong. Then the evil force will disintegrate on its own.

The text of Article 23 reads as follows:
Article 23
The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region shall enact laws on its own to prohibit any act of treason, secession, sedition, subversion against the Central People's Government, or theft of state secrets, to prohibit foreign political organizations or bodies from conducting political activities in the Region, and to prohibit political organizations or bodies of the Region from establishing ties with foreign political organizations or bodies.
