[Editor's note: Changchun means "Always Spring" in Chinese and it's the name of the city where Teacher Li Hongzhi began teaching Falun Dafa.]
December 22, 2002 is the second "Changchun Falun Dafa Day."
We still remember one year ago, when some practitioners proposed to set up "Changchun Falun Dafa Day," we all felt very inspired and excited. There was the following paragraph in the proposal: "Winter Solstice has always been recognized as the time for the transition between the Yin and the Yang. From this day on, the dark night will become shorter and the daylight will become longer. Heaven and earth will come back to life. This day is chosen as it indicates the evil force has come to an end, and the bright light has started illuminating the human world."
Ever since practitioners held the first "Falun Dafa Day" in Changchun City, Jilin Province, practitioners in various places in China also had Falun Dafa Days one after another. On February 4, 2002, several dozen counties and cities were celebrating their local Falun Dafa Day, which was really "Dots of plum blossoms herald the arrival of spring in Heaven and on Earth." On March 5, Changchun Dafa practitioners successfully used the cable TV network and broadcasted the truth about Dafa to millions of viewers, writing a glorious chapter in the history of Fa-rectification. Following this, many more areas broke through the information blockade, and used cable TV to bring the truth to more people and deeply frightened the evil.
One more year has passed. Teacher said, "the Dafa disciples have matured through the tempering." ("Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Experience Sharing Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A.") Just a few words spell out Teacher's encouragement and expectations for us disciples. We dare not become complacent or slack off. We shall do even better!
On the second Changchun Falun Dafa Day, we hereby send our deep regards to practitioners all over the world, and our highest regards and most sincere wishes to our great Teacher: "Teacher, Happy New Year!"
