The Independent Federation of Chinese Students and Scholars organization published an announcement regarding the Chinese dictator's visit to the U.S.:

Jiang obtained power by inhibiting freedom of the press and cracking down on the "June 4^th" 1989 democratic student movement persists with his one-party autocracy and continued to suppress freedom of speech. He has directed arrests and detention of political dissidents as well as persecution against religious groups, including Christianity and Falun Gong [note: Falun Gong is not a religion.]. He secretly signed many border agreements that severely harmed the nation's interests and should be subject to condemnation by Chinese people around the world.

Voice of Justice

An attorney in Japan called on the Japanese Prime Minister to help rescue Yoko Kaneko during the upcoming APEC meeting. In this appeal letter, the attorney stated that international community has condemned the Chinese government for its serious violations of human rights, such as the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. I think Your Excellency's proposal [to release Yoko Kaneko] is certainly not interfering with another country's internal affairs. You would demonstrate a righteous attitude in this matter that might be the basis to build equilateral, friendly relations with China for the future.

A Japanese professor also wrote to the Japanese Prime Minister and requested him to help rescue Yoko Kaneko during the APEC meeting. The Chinese government is known to torture Falun Gong practitioners physically and uses drugs to ruin people psychologically. In August, Yoko's husband, Atsushi Kaneko, saw his wife in a labor camp and according to him, Yoko looked like a completely different person. Forced detention is illegal in itself, and I hope Your Excellency will press the Chinese leader(s) to help Mrs. Kaneko to return to Japan as soon as possible.

The "Rescue Our Family Members and Get Them Home" North Route arrived at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on the evening of October 19. Next day in the morning, the practitioners held a press conference in front of the city government building. Two major T.V. stations interviewed the practitioners and the news report was broadcast the same day.

Practitioners Exchange Insight

After studying Master's scripture "Hurry Up And Tell Them," I realized the urgency of truth clarification and saving people. As Fa rectification disciples, we should take action according to Master's will and form a cosmic climate in the human world, this being righteous thoughts and righteous actions. After studying the scripture "Be Clearheaded," I realized that the phrase "The demon Satan has completely collapsed." indicates the true evil, and the only thing that is left is the superficial actions of ordinary people. They are the most weak of all, and the major stumbling blocks we still encounter are for the most part our own bad thoughts, notions and unrighteous mentality. We should eliminate the evil old forces and their arrangements as we eliminate non-virtuous images during those times when we send forth righteous thoughts, so we can break away and participate in truth-clarification.

Master told us we should tolerate and respect fellow practitioners. I realized there is greater benevolence and compassion in this statement, which is to "prevent" us from creating karma. Master told us repeatedly to study the Fa, and I realized the process of our studying the Fa is the process of assimilating the beings within our system to the Fa, which is also the process of bringing them into Fa-rectification. Master told us three things we must do well as Fa rectification period disciples: 1. Study the Fa; 2. Clarify the truth; and 3. Send forth righteous thoughts. (Touring North America to Teacher the Fa" (2002). I realized these are actually Master's assignments for our Fa rectification period disciples. How well we do in these three things is the key that determines the progress of Fa rectification

News From China

Prior to practicing Dafa, Zheng Shijie, a 70-year-old Dafa practitioner in Taiwan was afflicted with gout, myocardial infarction, kidney failure, constipation and insomnia. Because of his illnesses, Zheng Shijie lived in extreme pain. After he had begun practicing Dafa, all of these symptoms disappeared and he felt much more healthy, serene and happy than before. He finally experienced the feeling of "a light body with no disease."

Truth About Persecution

I was forcibly sent into a mental institution for persisting in Dafa practice. I was injected with drugs and was forced to take medications, which caused my body to swell and I felt terrible when sleeping. My body convulsed when I woke up. I was tortured for a total of 25 days in the mental institution. Toward the end of 2000, vicious thugs again sent me to the Dalian Drug Rehabilitation Center. I protested by holding a hunger strike and was released eight days later. The vicious chief from my work unit decided to send me to a hospital for a so-called examination. I escaped after learning the news. The unconscionable people went to my brother and forced him to pay an 800 Yuan "examination fee," Even now, vicious police often come to my home and harass me, and they even severely disturb my family and relatives.
