Today, Falun Dafa practitioners from all over the world met in downtown Chicago and held a series of activities to protest the visit of Jiang Zemin, who instigated and directed the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. They called upon the American Government and all people of the world with righteous minds to work together and end the brutal suppression in China.

After the press conference, the Falun Gong practitioners paraded from Federal Plaza to the Chinese Consulate in Chicago. They held banners and the parade was several blocks long. The parade caught the attention of many passersby, and many people expressed their support and sympathy to Falun Gong practitioners. When the parade arrived at the Chinese Consulate, the practitioners began a peaceful sitting appeal across the street facing the consulate building.
