The Greatness of Dafa Practitioners

Shared by a practitioner from Mainland China at the 2002 Asia-Pacific Falun Dafa Experience Sharing Conference in Seoul, South Korea

"With Teacher guiding the voyage, the Fa saves all beings, One sail is hoisted, one hundred million sails follow." ("The Knowing Heart" in Essentials for Further Advancement II). About one hundred million people are learning Dafa, and in such a precious unprecedented opportunity, we are very fortunate to have become Dafa practitioners. In "Touring North America to Teach the Fa," Teacher said, "Not everybody can obtain the Fa, and not everybody can enter, because this is the Great Fa of the cosmos."

Soon after obtaining the Fa, we came to know that, as long as we have the heart for cultivation, our compassionate Teacher would do anything for us. Not would only our physical bodies be purified, but also our thoughts. We were given a complete cultivation system so that we could cultivate at high levels from the very beginning. While advancing in cultivation, we came to the know the profound meaning of "Dafa is harmonizing all sentient beings, and all sentient beings are also harmonizing Dafa." ("Expounding on the Fa" in Essentials for Further Advancement).

Following Teacher's guidance, Dafa practitioners gradually came to "to attain the righteous Enlightenment of selflessness and altruism." ("Non-Omission in Buddha-Nature" in Essentials for Further Advancement) That is to say, Dafa practitioners have gradually changed from "students" to "disciples," then to true "Fa-rectification disciples."

When the massive evil persecution came three years ago, "even Dafa students each thought about what this meant for them" "A lot of students made it through, steadfast, after reflecting." ("Fa-Lecture at the Conference in Florida, U.S.A.") Facing the unprecedented evil persecution, Dafa students who have been saved by the Lord of Buddhas, quietly began the journey of learning the Fa and safeguarding the Fa. "Teacher will certainly have Law Bodies (fashen) safeguarding them quietly." ("Seeking Discipleship with Teacher" in Essentials for Further Advancement) With the caring from Teacher, the splendid Fa-rectification thus started.

Some wrote to local governments, some went to Beijing to appeal, and some went out to do the exercises. Each Dafa disciple who stepped forward had an indestructible righteous faith in Dafa, and always put Dafa first. When a 60-year old lady went to Beijing to appeal in 1999, she was illegally detained in a detention center. After mental and physical torture, she was unable to stand up. The vicious police asked her, "Will you continue to appeal?" Her answer was simple and clear, "Definitely." She also told fellow practitioners in the same cell that the three words, "Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance" were the only things on her mind. Four days later, she appeared to be in a life-threatening condition. Afraid of being responsible for her death, the police sent her home.

Another Dafa disciple kept learning Dafa for the past three years, and was unshakable like a rock. Once, when she was doing the fifth exercise, she suddenly had the will to safeguard the Fa. She then went to another practitioner's place who had enlightened along an evil path then, retrieved the Dafa books and kept them since then. She even thought, "Dafa gave me a second chance for life, and I am one of the best living examples to validate Dafa. How can I remain unmoved when Dafa is being persecuted?" As the thought came to safeguard the Fa and appeal, she wrote to the central government within two days. She even finished writing a final letter to her son and daughter living abroad. She would let go of everything for Dafa. She went to Beijing and visited the Appeal Office in the State Department, and fulfilled the vow she made thousands of years ago. After being detained for several days, she returned home in an open and aboveboard manner. Later, she was very courageous in safeguarding the Fa by doing the exercises in public. Although she was detained several times, she was determined with a righteous mind and kept clarifying the truth. With Teacher's care, every time she was able to return home safely, and continued doing Fa-rectification work.

There was another elderly lady who was a very determined Dafa practitioner. Although she had not received an education, she spent one year transcribing Zhuan Falun. In this way, she was able to read Dafa books and recognize all the words. In October 1999, she went to Beijing without telling her family because they did not support her.

There was a young disciple who was often in tears when others slandered Teacher. Later, he went to Beijing to tell the government, "Falun Dafa is good." When he was arrested at Tiananmen Square, in front of the police, he called aloud "Master Li, I will return home following you."

Such pure and compassionate hearts, and "the determination that Dafa disciples have developed from their true understanding of the Fa through cultivation and from their Buddha-nature after the elevation of their benti in actual cultivation" ("Coercion Cannot Change People's Hearts" in Essentials for Further Advancement II) have shaken the "the world of ten directions". This was recognized in the cosmos, including the human world, and it has also shaken the evil old forces.

Teacher's new articles since May 2000 have been correcting our shortcomings. They have brought us to truly understand the Fa based on the FA, and do well in each step of our cultivation. Dafa practitioners have thus been breaking the human restrictions that have formed for thousands of years, and started on their individual Fa-rectification journeys.

Since Teacher's articles that are collected in, "Guiding the Voyage" more Dafa practitioners have gone to Beijing, more Dafa practitioners have become involved in Fa-rectification, and more have started to clarify the truth. The effects have been enormous, and greatly terrified the evil. Through truth clarification, more and more people began to know what Falun Gong is, and more and more people came to know that "Good is rewarded with good, and evil with evil is a heavenly law." More and more people have started to read Zhuan Falun.

Through this process, Dafa disciples have also become Fa-rectification disciples, indestructible like diamond. There was a group of practitioners who opened a copy center at the busiest place on street. It appeared they were running businesses on the surface, but in reality they were making Dafa materials. In the beginning, there were many "tests." With the heart of assisting the Teacher in the human world, and the teachings of "just by having your heart unaffected you will be able to handle all situations," they have thus created a good environment for Dafa work.

One day this June, a young mother, together with a very young Dafa disciple who had not yet learned how to speak, went to Tiananmen Square to complete their vows. In the police car, the mom called out "Falun Dafa is good," while the young disciple also used his special means of expression by crying. This scene was so touching that many people around were in tears. In the detention center, it was the young disciple who was interrogated first. But he was not afraid of anything, and would not follow any orders, but just kept running around and crying. The evil could do nothing except give him back to the mother. In the detention center, although the young disciple normally was unable to speak; however, when Dafa practitioners sent forth righteous thoughts, he sometimes pointed above and called, "demons, demons!" The Dafa practitioners who were present sent forth righteous thoughts together to eliminate the evil. Under the power righteous thoughts, the evil dared not to "test" them. They therefore soon walked out of there in an open and aboveboard manner and continued in the Fa-rectification.

Early this year, due to the collaborators, [former Falun Gong practitioners who have gone astray due to brainwashing and torture] many Dafa practitioners were arrested. They were experiencing the brutal torture of the "tiger bench," being shocked with electric batons, being beaten with leather belt, etc. (For a detailed description for this and other forms of torture used in forced labor camps, see http://www.geocities.com/transrefs/Torture-tr.html They were tortured for quite a long time, even among some aged practitioners among them. The evil did not care at all if there were life-threatening situations, they just tortured recklessly. However, no matter how the vicious police beat them, the practitioners still did not cooperate. Some practitioners called out "Falun Dafa is good," while some called aloud "Master Li, please save me." Each of them had a single thought, that is, this is not a place I should stay, and the evil is not qualified to test us Dafa practitioners. They also clarified the truth to the people who were there to transform them. Dafa practitioners outside also sent forth righteous thoughts together to eliminate all evils, so that the practitioners inside could be released. As a result, all determined Dafa practitioners came out in various ways. They safeguarded Dafa with their lives, and protected other Dafa practitioners. They thus advanced the Fa-rectification in that area.

Dafa practitioners here also kept delivering materials from Minghui.net, one after another. The material site grew from being very small, and different Dafa practitioners joined at different times. After one material site was destroyed, another one would be established. This one has not been interrupted in the last three years. As teacher said in "Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Boston," "No matter what methods the evil uses or how much money they spend, they can't achieve what they want to achieve in damaging Dafa. We're doing these things with our hearts, while they're doing things with money--they could never compare."

Dafa practitioners have the mission to save sentient beings. Under Teacher's care, each Dafa disciple has been doing everything he or she is supposed to do. These actions are the manifestations of the dignity of Dafa, as well as the greatness of Dafa disciples.

In "Fa-Rectification Period Dafa Disciples," Teacher said, "Dafa disciples are magnificent because you are here at the same time as the period of Master's Fa-rectification and are able to safeguard and uphold Dafa." Let's all cherish the title of Dafa disciples and be able to "Follow Teacher closely, steadfastly cultivating Dafa." In this great Fa-rectification process, let's improve and upgrade as one body. Finally, let's end with Teacher's words from "The Disciples' Magnificence": "At this great moment in history, every steady step is a glorious historic testimony, and is incomparably-magnificent mighty virtue. All this is being recorded in the history of the cosmos. The magnificent Fa and the magnificent epoch are forging the most magnificent Enlightened Beings."
