(Clearwisdom.net) My father (a Falun Dafa practitioner) will retire very soon and wanted to find another job. I advised him that he should look for a job that suits his skills and that would enable him to be able to spread the Fa, clarify the truth of Falun Dafa, and save the sentient beings in his workplace environment. Based on this, I thought a job in law service would be good. First off, he could be the voice for those unheard people. Secondly, he could clarify the truth about Dafa and help people obtain the Fa. Third, and most importantly, he could seek justice for Dafa in this world by means of legal lawsuits. My father agreed with me.
The next day, my father told me: "An old friend who works in a law firm that I haven't seen in a while met with me today, and I told him that I would retire soon and wanted to find a new job in law service. The friend immediately said that it would be no problem for someone with my skills and experience, and that he would speak to the person in charge at his company to try and find a job for me."
From this experience, I came to enlighten to the following principle: for a practitioner, finding a job and working in the ordinary human society are not problems themselves. We also need to do our jobs well. The critical issue is from what basic standpoint do we look at our jobs. Since Dafa is the most fundamental, spreading the Fa, clarifying the truth, and saving people is the most important, and our jobs themselves are only secondary. If we can find a job based on this standpoint, then we will be able to find the most suitable jobs. If we can view issues from the standpoint of Dafa in all respects, rather than from the standpoint of the issues themselves, then we will be able to handle all the issues that involve our cultivation practice in the ordinary human society, and genuinely experience the sense of freedom of being a practitioner.
