[Beijing] Successful Dafa Experience Sharing Meeting Held in a Beijing Suburb
In early September, over fifty practitioners came together in a suburb of Beijing. While playing the solemn and stirring Dafa music "Pudu," they studied Teacher's articles including Lunyu, Expounding on the Fa, Dafa is Indestructible and Fa-Rectification Period Dafa Disciples. They shared their own experiences in safeguarding Dafa, clarifying the truth and eliminating the evil in the Fa-rectification cultivation. Practitioners who once "enlightened" along the evil path in brainwashing classes also talked about their harsh lessons. In the compassionate and solemn righteous energy field, everyone felt their xinxing (mind and heart nature) was greatly upgraded.
The meeting lasted two hours and all practitioners safely returned to their homes. After the meeting, the cloudy sky cleared up.
Teacher taught us in Lecture on the Fa at the Washington, D.C. International Conference, "Your sharing experiences and understanding is important, too." Let us use the wisdom and supernormal abilities endowed by Dafa to break through all the arrangements by the old forces and create an environment for collective Fa-studying, group practicing and sharing experiences.
[Shandong Province] Mengyin County Dafa Practitioner Song Bingfa Is Illegally Sentenced to 10 Years in Jail
On September 6, 2001, the vicious forces in Mengyin County of Shandong Province fabricated lies and levied false charges to order the arrest of six practitioners. Along with the three practitioners abducted earlier this year, a total of nine more practitioners were ordered arrested. Nearly forty practitioners were illegally sentenced and put into labor camps. Male practitioner Song Bingfa was actually sentenced to 10 years in jail.

A teacher who teaches politics in a well-known high school in a city of Northeast China has never criticized Falun Gong in her class. Once, a student in class made fun of Falun Gong. The teacher stopped him, "Do you really know what is going on? Sit down." Her previous colleague, a Dafa practitioner, heard the story. When she came across the teacher, she talked about Dafa with her and mentioned what happened in the classroom. The teacher said, "If you want to criticize something, you need to know what it is. I have no idea what Falun Gong is. How could I criticize it? It is not wise to just listen to propaganda." This teacher was not enthralled by government propaganda. She kept her sober mind in the troubled times. At last the teacher told the practitioner that several of her classmates also practiced Falun Gong and they were good people. She said she would like to read Zhuan Falun.
[Hengshui City, Hebei Province] Hengshui City Detention Center Director Commits Another Crime Persecuting Dafa Practitioners
For the past two years, Geng Zhanwu, director of the Hengshui City Detention Center continuously committed crimes in persecuting practitioners. He spared no efforts to act as an accomplice and hatchet man, often torturing practitioners personally.
On August 21, 2001, four female practitioners asked Shen Zhongshan, the guard on duty, to report to Geng Zhanwu that they demanded an explicit explanation regarding their illegal, long-term detention. Otherwise, the practitioners said they would have to go on a hunger strike on August 24 for their unconditional release. However, the four practitioners didn't receive any response from Geng Zhanwu. On August 24, they went on a hunger strike to call for justice and appeal to people's consciences, and to resist the vicious persecution with their lives.
During their hunger strike, vicious director Geng Zhanwu did not care about the lives or deaths of the practitioners. Instead, he stormed into the practitioners' cell and verbally abused Dafa and Teacher. He madly expressed that all Falun Gong practitioners should be shot to death or buried alive.
At noon on August 28, which was the fifth day of the hunger strike, Li Jing's life was in extreme danger. At that time, Geng Zhanwu, who had not shown up for several days, came to the cell. Practitioner Xu Jie asked him to release Li Jing. Geng Zhanwu did not reply to her. He clutched Xu Jie, who was very thin and weak due to the tortures, from behind her back. His arms gripped hard around Xu Jie's abdomen. After a while, Xu Jie was almost out of breath and lost consciousness. The practitioners in No.4 cell cried out loud, "She is almost strangled. Let her go, you rascal!" Then Geng Zhanwu put her down.
Li Jing was released when she was tortured to the point of death. Afterwards, practitioners Li Shufang and Yin Chunmei's health conditions were also seriously aggravated and they were released as well. Xu Jie was the only one left there. Geng Zhanwu squeezed her so hard that her chest was in great pain. She could not even turn her body over and had to lie on her right side. On the afternoon of August 28, Geng Zhanwu ordered several strong men to drag her to the director's office and force-feed her. She coughed severely and had difficulty breathing after the force-feeding. Her heartbeat accelerated and she could not fall asleep. The next day Geng Zhanwu brought several men to again insert the force-feeding tube into Xu Jie's stomach. Xu Jie pulled the tube out and broke it. They still wouldn't give up and went out to buy another one.
Xu Jie was tortured to the point of emaciation and almost died. They feared that she might die and sent her to the hospital. The examination showed that her rib was fractured, and she had pneumonia due to the force-feeding.
Now the four practitioners have been released back home and are gradually recovering.
[Sanhe City, Hebei Province] A Practitioner's Persecution Experience
On May 11, 2000, I went to Tiananmen Square. The police asked me if I practiced Falun Gong. I answered, "Yes," and was illegally arrested by plainclothes police and sent to the Tiananmen Police Station. In the afternoon, Yang Xizhong, an officer from the Yanjiao Branch Police Station in Sanhe City, Hebei Province took me back in a car. When we were on the Chaobaihe Bridge, he declared he was going to throw me in the river and drown me.
I was detained in the police department for one day, then transferred to the local Development Zone and detained for seven days without any due legal process. In a room on the third story of Yanjiao Branch Police Station, vicious police officer Yang Xizhong shocked me twice with an electric baton. He hit my shoulder(s) with his fists, yanked my hair and forced me to kneel. I was also forced to squat for about two hours. Yang said, "If I throw you out of the third story, are you still going to practice? I'll fine you 5,000 Yuan [about US$625]. If you don't have the money, I'll tear down your house." During my detention, the police department chief instigated thug Yang Xizhong, saying, "Beat her hard; call the Railroad Bureau to put pressure on them." My husband came to the police department to look for me and the police said, "She is not here." They also threatened my husband, saying they would give me a jail sentence and arrest him.
Yanjiao's Development Zone Government fined me as listed below:
- Yanjiao Development Zone fined me 10,000 Yuan [about US$1,250], which was deducted from my husband's monthly salary [The average monthly salary is 500.00 Yuan].
- Sanhe City Police Department fined me 5,000 Yuan, [about US$625] giving me no receipt.
In addition, my husband spent over 20,000 Yuan [about US$2,500] arranging for my release on bail.
My husband paid the above fines without my knowledge.
[Liaozhong County, Liaoning Province] Police Department Official Li Zhen Extorts Money from Practitioners
Ever since July 20, 1999, former deputy section chief Li Zhen of the Politics and Security Section in Liaozhong County's Police Department/ Liaoning Province took advantage of the national anti-Falun Gong campaign, using this opportunity to extort money from practitioners' families.
According to reliable sources, several dozen practitioners were forced to pay fines ranging from 2,000 Yuan [about US $250] to 5,000 Yuan [about US $625]. Some of the fines went into Li's pocket instead of to the government. He arrested dozens of practitioners. About 100 were detained and sent to labor camps. To date, several dozen practitioners are still being detained. Li capitalized politically from persecuting Dafa and Dafa practitioners.
[Heilongjiang Province] Changlinzi Labor Camp Officials Brutally Beat Practitioners
On August 10, 2001, in the Changlinzi Labor Camp in Heilongjiang Province, director Shi, accompanied by several guards, opened the door of Unit No.4. At that time there were 40 practitioners in Unit No.4. Director Shi asked guards to call the roll and whoever was called went out the door. In the end, 17 people remained. Then practitioner Zhang Lin was called on. A guard twisted Zhang's hands behind his back and held him tightly. Others swarmed up and brutally beat him without explanation. When the other 16 practitioners saw this they ran up and tried to protect Zhang, but the inhuman director Shi ordered guards and common criminals (there were many criminals in the room at that time) to severely beat those 16 practitioners. Director Shi also commanded that the practitioners' hands and feet be tied with ropes. Those malicious villains grabbed the ropes and dragged practitioners back and forth on the ground. All other practitioners shouted from inside the room, "The guards are beating people!" At this time, practitioners outside also rushed to the door and shouted, "Don't beat people." Guards outside barred these fellow practitioners. By then, Zhang Lin was already unconscious due to the torture. The 16 others were bruised all over from the dragging, and their clothes were torn. Those malicious thugs saw the practitioners' indestructible righteous will and were intimidated. So they loosened the ropes on practitioners and put Zhang Lin into a car and sent him to a hospital.

On the afternoon of September 11, 2001, in order to expose the evil, tell people the truth, and validate Dafa, three practitioners unfurled a banner reading "Falun Dafa is the righteous cultivation way" at the entrance to the Tiananmen Rostrum. They cried out loud, "Falun Dafa is great," "Restore the reputation of Falun Dafa" and "Restore the reputation of our Master." The police on the square arrested them and dragged them into a police car. They were then illegally detained.
[Changchun City, Jilin Province] Police of Division No. 1 of Changchun City Police Department Collude with Authorities of All Labor Camps to Monitor Practitioners' Families and Friends
The police of the Division No. 1 of the Changchun City Police Department colluded with all labor camps in the city to monitor practitioners' families and friends. The officers of the labor camps secretly videotaped whoever came to visit practitioners in detention and submitted the footage to the Division No.1 of the police department. The police officers in the Division No. 1 then closely monitored practitioners' families and friends. On top of that, the police secretly bugged their houses and tapped their phones. They have put more than 20 wiretaps in people's houses and tapped more than 100 phones.
Recently, the evil forces have hired many laid-off workers and jobless people to follow people from 9 p.m. until 4 a.m. the next morning. More than 10 practitioners were arrested while distributing Dafa truth-clarifying materials.
[Weifang City, Shandong Province] A 20-Year-Old Dafa Practitioner Is Illegally Sentenced to 3 Years in a Labor Camp.
Yue Ping, 20 years old, lives in Weifang City of Shandong Province. On August 17 2001, the police from Kuiwen District arrested him while he was distributing Dafa truth-clarifying materials. On August 20, he was illegally detained and was sentenced to 3 years in a labor camp for insisting on practicing Falun Dafa.
[Qian'an County, Jilin Province] Vile Persons from the Politics and Security Section of Qian'an County Police Department Brutally Beat Practitioners
On the evening of July 22, five practitioners from Qian'an County were unfortunately caught by traffic police while hanging up Dafa banners. They were taken to the Qian'an County Police Department. A Toyota van belonging to one of the practitioners was confiscated. During the interrogation, an evil policeman beat up a practitioner so cruelly that he lost consciousness and did not wake up until the next morning. The rest of the practitioners were all beaten to different degrees.
The vile person who beat practitioners was Zhao Yanhai from the Politics and Security Section. This person verbally abused Dafa and Master. He also claimed himself as a demon and fiend from hell.
Around 5 o'clock in the morning, the practitioners were illegally sent to Qian'an County Detention Center where other practitioners were detained.

Song Changchun led a gang of ruffians to cruelly persecute practitioners. They unlawfully ransacked practitioners' homes and enforced large fines. He ordered the wicked policemen from Fangzi District to practice boxing on practitioners as if the practitioners were their living targets. They beat practitioners furiously on their heads and chests. They kicked, stepped on and stomped practitioners after they were knocked down to the ground.
Song also illegally detained practitioners in the town. He poured water onto the floor and made the room a water dungeon. In the evening, he took practitioners individually to a room, turned off the lights, stuffed the practitioners into gunny sacks and then beat them up. The ruffians kicked practitioners, and pinched practitioners on the inner side of their thighs. They beat practitioners with tools. They placed wooden sticks underneath the practitioners' legs and stepped on practitioners' legs and stomped until their muscles were torn.

When I was car pooling with my colleagues on a business trip, one of them told me that nowadays the bogus merchandise and false news are everywhere in society and even the "pure land" of college campuses are not an exception. He indignantly made a comment, "Nowadays you cannot find a single honest person!" Another colleague sitting next to him said, "There are honest people. Who? Falun Gong, the Falun Gong practitioners don't tell lies."
Afterwards, I verified this with several policemen. The policemen also said that Falun Gong practitioners would not tell lies. I admire that the Falun Gong practitioners always tell the truth.
