Walking from Tirau to Tokoroa | Arriving at a local practitioner's home in Tokoroa |
Our plan was to walk about 30 kilometers a day, which was not easy for a group with an average age of 57. Every walker has to carry Dafa materials, two banners, and a small triangular Falun Gong flag. When a big truck drove by, we were barely able to keep our balance. Even though we felt very tired by the end of the day, we still waved our hands and flags to the passing vehicles. We know from our hearts that we were planting the seed of Zhen-Shan-Ren.
At 3:30pm on September 13, 2001, we arrived at Hamilton and met with local practitioners. We held a press conference at 5pm and demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises.
On September 14, 2001 we arrived in Cambridge and met with local press. A reporter interviewed us and took photos of us walking.
On September 15, 2001 (the 6th day of our walk) we were on a narrow road with poor conditions. A black car containing four Chinese people passed us at around 10am. One of them suddenly threw a beer bottle at the banner that says 'China: Stop the Killing.' Although one of the banner's poles was broken, no one was physically injured. We sent forth righteous thoughts together to eliminate the evil and continued on our journey.
